I bought this for my teenage son, who loves drumming and marching band percussion. The best part (for me) is how quiet (comparatively) it is when he plays it. He says that the pad and practice lessons are great. The sticks are a bit light, but still good.

Excellent value
Only gave a cursory look at the book that comes with it, but it seems just fine. Practice pad is not as described or shown in picture. It is actually a larger circular one. The stick that come with it are unremarkable. Very good bargain.

Too Small! Too pricey!
Honestly, I thought the pad would be a little bit bigger...I guess it did the trick, but a little too pricey for the size.
