Beautifully Organized: A Guide to Function and Style in Your Home

I absolutely LOVE this book, have read it over 2 or 3 times in the past year, and have just bought a new one as a gift for my best friend who struggles somewhat with clutter and organization in her own home and is currently looking for solutions. I hope she loves it as much as I do, but even if she doesn't, I am pretty sure that there will be AT LEAST a few pieces of advice, or an idea or two, that she will glean from this book... Seriously, it's a real mine! I can only dream to be as well organized as this lady is. This is not a book about design, although she does have a stylish home and provides many stylish ideas. If you love an all-white, well organized home, you will adore this book. The tone is very friendly and intimate, never patronizing. If you find white to be too sterile, you might not care for the pictures of her home, but will still appreciate the organization that they illustrate. I happen to love white, but I would admit that for me, her house lacks a bit of warmth and personality. It's also possible that it is somewhat staged for the purpose of the book. Still, I don't really care! Everyone can have their own style and she isn't out there preaching that white is the best and only way -it just happens to be what she prefers. This book is so inspiring! I have already implemented many ideas in my own way, inside my home. I'd give it 6 stars if I could! ;)Editing to say that my friend loved this book, read it all through, and incorporated many new organizing solutions in her own home!

This coffee table book is nothing fancy, but it’s really cute and adds a nice touch to my living room. As someone who loves organization, reading about it and looking at the pictures inspires me, which is a big plus!It’s great for flipping through casually and sparks fun conversations with guests. If you want an easy, light addition to your coffee table that also motivates, this one fits the bill!

I just received this book today, and although I haven't completely finished it, I'm confident that this is going to be my go-to guide for organizing my home. It's evident that Mrs. Boyd poured a great amount of time and thoughtful attention into not only the information that she shares in the book, but also the beautiful photos that grace each page (even the feel of the paper that the book is printed on gives one a sense of luxury and style). This book covers every room in the house, including specialty spaces as well as the garage. She gives step by step guides and helpful tips in each chapter that allow the reader to easily grasp the organizational concepts and apply it to their own home. This book came just in time to help me with my spring cleaning and I'm super excited to implement organizational strategies that will help my home function more efficiently for my family. If you're looking for a detailed and easy to follow (as well as aesthetically gorgeous) home organizing book you need to buy this one!

'Beautifully Organized' shows photographs of a very orderly, nicely furnished home.Although some of the more personal, emotional issues of disorganization are avoided, the author does give some very practical hints about keeping an orderly home. Especially appreciated are the tips about setting up ways to keep track of children's school papers, records, etc. She also recommends how to structure schedules and more, so that the family is strengthened with more productive and fun time together.

Omg, I started using her organization tips right away!!! It has so much information!! Did I say it is a beautiful book as well!! I couldn't put it down for days!!! I already began organizing my kitchen and have plans for a few more areas. I can't remember getting a book about design and organization that I immediately was able to put to use!! Awesome thank you I will be using this for years to come.
