I just bought this product. I have read a few reviews that state they bought a 48" and they wished they would have bought one size bigger. I use a 48" and bought a 50" because of what I read. After riding an hour, I got some stretch in it and had to tighten my girth by 1 buckle all away around (english saddle). The point of the story is, if you need a 48" buy a 48" You will find after an hour of riding, you will get a little stretching and your girth will fit perfectly! This girth is priced right, cleans up well, stainless steel buckles and is a all around great product. If you buy a girth oversized, you will either need an extra saddle pad under you or you will end up with the buckles high under your leg which will take away a little feel as you use your legs on the horse. My horse has been more prone to girth galls as he's gotten older (I've checked saddle fit and tried a variety of pads and girths - leather, sheepskin, sheepskin cover, not tightening it as much as I should ...). He normally wears a 48" so that's what I ordered. My only complaint is that it's hard to do up. Others have commented that it runs small. I'm not sure that's the case (I measured it and it's 48"), but what I have noticed is that the elastic is shorter than on many other girths I've used and is also very strong. So it's hard to stretch the elastic in order to fasten the girth, but once it's on it's great. No more girth galls since I've been using it! I did end up ordering a 50" (which measures a true 50") because it should be much easier to do up, but I'll keep the 48" for my other horse who has a smaller barrel. So I'd suggest ordering one size up just due to how short/strong the elastic is, but in terms of quality and function this girth has been fantastic.

I’m not going to return this item because there isn’t any flaw that would make me think it would break or be unreliable. It is visibly used because there is dirt or something in the girth. Don’t appreciate it arriving being used but it’s advertised as new but honestly it doesn’t matter. I’m going to strap it on my horse and it’ll get dirty anyway. Can’t give it 5 stars on principle.

Great girth but doesn't have d clip for breast collar so I wasn't able to use it but still works good. Has nice strech and seems smooth on my horse(only tried it once due to no breast collar xlip, which was my fault for not paying attention to when ordering.)

Material is soft and molds easily to the horse. Stays put. Love the contour design. Works well with Tucker Equitation Endurance saddle. Buckles fit.

Loving this girth! I live in Arizona and I trail ride. A lot of miles and a lot of sweat. I absolutely love that it cleans up easily. It is tight to cinch up at first but seems to be getting easier. As far as comfort for my horse, it hasn’t given her any problems! Great price for the product. Thank you!

Nice girth, had a very smooth ride. It was very difficult to get strapped in, it was much tighter on my horse than my other 52” girth. Might just need to be ridden in a few times to get it broken in. Only ridden in once so far.

Unfortunately I had to return this without using it. I got a 42 as that is what I've used for years. However, this 42 is a good 4 inches shorter than all the other 42's! It does look fairly well made and comfortable. I'm just not sure I'm going to bother ordering another one.
