Amazingly great for driving, I bought two more again
I originally owned the HD Driving Aviator Sunglasses (As Seen On TV brand) purchased from a Rite Aid pharmacy many years ago. It had a metal frame and actual glass lens. I really liked the brown-yellowish color of the lens. I used it for driving for many years. It finally got scratched so much that I needed to buy new ones.I bought this two-set in 2017. I wore the brown one almost daily while driving for almost two years. A friend recently commented how much he liked the design, so I have him the black one as a gift.I really like these glasses because of the brown-yellowish color of the lens. These remove glare of sunlight or sunlit roads and vehicles, but they don't make everything dark. They also don't block your peripheral vision while driving. This is particularly important when we turn our head away from the road or when a vehicle is on one of your sides. These are lightweight and even after wearing them for several hours I never felt any fatigue or soreness on my nose or around ears. Even though these don't last very long, they are amazing for driving. In the beginning the arms were tight but over time they became loose. The good thing about the arms becoming loose is that we can wear them with one hand. This is helpful while driving. But as the arms became loose, the tip of the arm began scratching the inside of one of the lens. I managed to tighten one arm's screw but the other arm remains lose. Sometimes I carried them in my jacket's pocket, which is not good for these plastic sunglasses. one of the arms finally broke in the middle.I like these so much that I just bought another set of two.

Great to wear, but didn't last...
Well, I must say that I really liked these while they lasted. I ordered these in January, and it is now six months later, in July. Both pairs broke within the last ten days, within about a week of each other. In both cases, the left stem broke as I was removing them.Prior to that, these were great. I really appreciated the gradated shading: the top of the lenses were darker, and kept out the sun. Yet, the bottom part were more lightly shaded, and I was able to wear these inside. That was helpful because: a) I often have my hands full going into buildings here in Florida, and I didn't have to try to get my glasses off (or be blind) when I enter a building, and b) I wore these when my eyes were fatigued and I needed to use the computer. I could also use them for driving, even at/after dusk.I don't feel like I was particularly rough with these. I have not had stems snap like that on other sunglasses. Unfortunately, I can't recommend these for that reason. If you get these anyway, you might try to always remove them with two hands. Maybe that will help?

Will buy again!
May 2020: These glasses were well used for the last year and a half and have finally all broken at the nose. Buying another set ASAP!1 year update : Yes they have lasted a year! They have gone to the beach, the park, bicycling, boating, you name it! The pair I wear the most the lenses are changing colors but are still protecting my sensitive eyes! I like that they are lite weight, wrap around and have no bottom rim. They cover my eyes from all directions and yet they don't look huge on me! My husband loves them too, he wears them outside when he doesn't need his glasses.Looked for these in every store when my old pair broke! These are nice, I like the wraparound! I don't just buy any sunglasses, I have sensitive blue eyes and live in Florida, so I need good glasses to keep the sun and the glare off of them so they don't burn. These worked great! I used them at the zoo and the beach and didn't have burnt eye at the end of day! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is that the lenses fell out of every pair the first time I wore them, but that's just a glue issue. I used super glue to put them back in and have had no more problems except that my husband stole a pair (which is why I got 2 pairs)! Great service from the company! When I ordered the brown and black pair and when they accidentally sent me two black ones, the company sent me a 3rd Brown pair! They're decent glasses for the price! And I can afford to buy another when my kids get a hold of them and break them!

Unusable for driving and pretty much anything else
As a pilot I spend a seemingly inordinate amount of time looking for good sunglasses. I've owned (and still own) many of the best and most well known brands. I have come to find that you really don't have to spend a fortune to get good quality optics.I decided to get a separate pair for driving and I thought I'd get my father some too, so this two-pair deal looked good. The reviews seemed promising and the specifications sounded impressive for the price. The style isn't too offensive either. I real life they look and feel as described which was pleasing but the optical quality is, in my opinion, quite frankly appalling. I'd even go so far as to say they are actually unsuitable for driving. In fact I called my father and warned him against using them for driving. The problem is the color contrast is so biased to yellow/orange that everything appears washed in and amber hue. Reds - indeed any colors - become harder to distinguish which in driving is a major issue. It's like looking through a piece of yellow cellophane.Judge for yourself and by all means read the other reviews and compare products. I bought an excellent pair of $19 sunglasses from Walmart a while back. The style didn’t suit me but optically they were outstanding. The images attached with this review (taken with an iPhone camera, unedited and under identical lighting) show one with and one without the Xloop HD sunglasses. I intend to return these for a refund.
