Military Aircraft, Tanks and Warships Visual Encyclopedia: More than 1000 colour illustrations

I had purchased this for my son- he is the Military Armory fan wanted more information while he was at camp.

Excellent illustrations throughout, however the editing was almost childish--pity

This is a nice coffee table book if you don't mind quite a few typos and errors. There are probably more than I noticed... Also the labeling is odd sometimes the bold label will be just the nato name but it's under a soviet name in the brief description which is confusing. It's not a horrible book if you know what's what are you don't care. But you probably don't want to use it or formal identification.

This is a beautiful book, the graphics are clear. Too bad the text is riddled with mistakes, they really could have used a good editor. Note photo of a Hawker AEW.3 early warning aircraft spec table that is a typical example of errors, of which there are far too many: Dimensions - length 41.97m (37ft 9in). What???

Bought this as I am interested in militaria and it was a reasonable price. Can only give this tour stars as there are a couple of mislabelled illustrations and a couple of glaring omissions - in the aircraft section the Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning IN has not been mentioned & in the naval section there is no mention of the Russian Aircraft carrier Kusnetsov.

I have a number of military reference books but most focus on war vehicles, so it was good to find a book with post war vehicles, even if not all P.W. Vehicles were included. A gift from my Gran I love it. Four stars is because the main downside is pictures are broken in the middle of two pages making it impossible to see all of the vehicles details. The photographs could have been positioned on one page, a little smaller but may have been better for enthusiasts. Publishers please don’t split the pictures across two pages in future publications, find a different way. But I still love it.

En líneas generales está bien. Las imágenes son detalladas, aunque lo malo que las imágenes que son a dos páginas quedan en medio de las dos un poco difíciles de ver. Y esperaba que el desglose de las aeronaves fuera más tipo Janes por decirlo de alguna forma, más explicativo. También está separado por conflictos y se hace un poco complejo la búsqueda en concreto de modelos. Pero por lo demás está muy bien. Da gusto verlo.
