I will be homeschooling my freshman this coming year, and he will be taking algebra 1. So, I got this book, and I am very happy with it. The author has a nice way of explaining the concept in a way that is easy to follow. There are plenty of examples throughout the lesson to help you understand also. After each lesson there are problems to work through practicing the lesson. Overall, this book does exactly what it promises and we are very happy with it.

If the term..multiplicative inverse makes you shudder, this book is for you. The author starts with the easiest functions and works them out step-by-step. After each lesson, there is a quiz to utilize your new sills at solving equations . Very well-planned out lessons with explanations.

Sometimes you have to rely on self learning to help you get through tough subjects and ultimately earned your way through a class. This book did a good job of pacing and providing examples and other supports to help me get through algebra one. My kids is starting to stump me and I have to relearn a lot these days.

This book is fantastic trying to teach yourself or your children in high school about algebra. A great reference book to have in the house for high school and college age students.

Several typos, even in some of the practice examples.No answer key provided so you can't check your work and bad practice is worse than no practice at all.For a proclaimed self teaching guide it does very little to equip you for success as it stumbles it's way through it's own unedited material.

This workbook offers a clear and structured approach to mastering Algebra 1, with detailed explanations and plenty of practice exercises. Ideal for self-learners aiming to build a solid foundation in algebra.

Parents Beware!It's 2020, and my child missed the last quarter of Algebra I, trying to learn at home but it was pretty disorganized since this was a sudden shift. I let my child pick out an Algebra I workbook to we could review over the summer and make sure we mastered all the key concepts. Parents, I strongly warn that you not use this book for such a purpose.Issues:1. Errors and Editing: Right on the cover of the book there is a typo in the subtitle.2. The solutions are right there on the pages immediately following the practice problems, often on the same physical piece of paper, so there's no way to just hand out the problems or to separate out the solutions. They should be at the back or separable for us parents who really want to ensure learning is going on.3. Typesetting is awful. It's like someone just typed this out without formatting actual equations. See p. 19 where they're factoring out a 3 and a 5 from some fractions. The numbers are crossed out, but the new values after factoring are not aligned at all, making it difficult to understand the operation.Most importantly:4. MISTAKES right in the text book. See p. 33, the first I noticed when I just barely glanced at the "Intro to Algebra" section. Example 6 mis-applies factoring out by 3, resulting in the wrong answer. Geez.
