Cheyenne Warrior

I’m a huge history buff, especially when it comes to Early American but it is really hard to find movies in this genre. I bought this movie several years ago for my mom whom loved it and decided to order myself one a few weeks ago. I really like the actors in Cheyenne Warrior, as they are likable and believable. It’s nice that this film shows both sides of the conflict between the settlers and Native Americans. I definitely think it’s worth watching if your into history. The quality of the movie wasn’t that great to be honest. I wish they’d remake it in high definition but I love knowing I can watch it whenever I want!

Story line and color okay. Long shipping.

This is a different type of story line then normally presented. I liked it. It made you sad to see the predudices that were so prev- olent in those days that led to murder!

This film was surprising as it spins the tale of a young couple so anxious to go out west that they imprudently leave by themselves instead of waiting for the next wagon train. They do relatively well until they come to a trading post and through pure ignorance, the husband is killed. Left on her own and 7 months pregnant Rebecca stays at the trading post where she meets a proud Cheyenne warrior, Soars Like A Hawk. When the trading post owner is killed she decides to stay there by herself. Hawk tries to persuade her to come and stay with his people until the baby is born, but Rebecca insists that the post is where she will stay. Hawk is attracted to her as a curiosity at first but then he leaves with his warriors. He returns just before Rebecca has the baby and stays with her. As the two become closer after the baby comes it is clear when other Cheyenne come to the post that neither are prepared to learn to adopt the ways of the other. Even after becoming lovers Hawks honor will not let him leave his people permanently for Rebecca nor Rebecca give up on her son knowing the white world to live in Hawks.

I have seen this movie before, but it had been a while. There is a lot of violence in this movie, so not for children to watch. All in all, pretty good movie.

I started watching the VHS version and when i went to Eject my VHS the machine ate it so I was glad to know that I will be able to watch this fantastic movie. This movie really tug at your heart strings

A wonderful story-line and a very believable acting job by both main actors. I cried a little, and laughed a little, but mostly I enjoyed every moment !

Great film good story and a bit of action wont waste story line for you just buy and enjoy.

What agreat love story between a n Indian and a white women in the west.

Unusual story line. Very well directed.

Brilliant movie. It's unusual for a western and the actors are great especially Pato Hoffman who gives a sensitive portrayal.

Liked the love story that unfolded although it had a sad ending, would like to see more of this sort of dvd about the wild west
