Great Soft Bottle!! Just as good, if not better, than the Platypus Soft bottles - with the bonus of the cap not getting lost!!,
The Evernew soft bottle has an edge over the Platypus soft bottles in that the cap stays attached to the bottle when you drink out of it, or fill it. I own most every type and size of the Platypus soft sided bottles - from the 16 oz to the 2 Liter versions, including the Plus bottles! I also own both the Push / Pull and Closure caps on the Platypus - and the issue with both is that it is possible to lose them - especially the closure cap, as when you take it off to fill or drink, it can get misplaced. The push / pull cap at least stays on when you drink, but it has to be removed to fill it.That is where these Evernew bottles shine - the cap stays attached, and it is virtually impossible to lose it! But there are other nice features to the Evernew bottles that make them shine over the Platy bottles IMHO. For instance, the shock cord that is attached to the bottle - this allows you to roll up the bottle and secure it for portable storage. With the Platypus bottle, you need a rubber band, or a separate cord, or you have to supply your own shock cord (if you have it). The shock cord coming attached to the Evernew is a nice touch.Another bonus - the Evernew bottle threads directly on to the Sawyer Mini Filter, or the Sawyer Squeeze Filter! This means that when the crummy Sawyer bottles break (and they will), you can employ these as either your dirty reservoir, or clean reservoir. These bottles come in sizes up to 2 Liters, so if you need a bigger container, you can get one!In addition - I like the feel / durability of the Evernew bottle more than the Platypus. They stand up on their own better with liquid in them, have a stiffer feel, and for some reason they seem to dry faster than the Platypus when empty. And finally, and most importantly - these are priced well for the different sizes if you shop around. Considering I got this size for $8, and the 2 Liter size for $10, it would be tough to beat those prices for the quality you get.I would recommend these bottles to anyone looking for something compatible with Sawyer filters, or for just a standalone soft drinking bottle. Thanks for reading!

2 years and still going strong!
I've had my Evernew 2L bag for 2 years now, and absolutely love it. I carry a 1L and a 700mL smart water bottles for my clean water, and have the evernew bag and my sawyer squeeze rolled up in a side pocket of my pack for dirty water.Just got back from a 6 day trip where both me and my boyfriend used the bag for our dirty water, filtering 2L each multiple times a day - the bag is easy to fill from a good flowing stream, or by using a scoop in shallow/slow water (I use the bottom of a soda bottle that fits inside my toaks pot).Even with a sawyer that needs cleaned, the bag still holds up great to hard squeezing and rolling. My boyfriend had always just used a clean and a dirty bottle, but after using the Evernew, he's convinced to carry one for dirty water instead. It allowed us each to have 2 full clean bottles of water during dry stretches of the trail. I like the peace of mind knowing that I have an additional 2L of water carrying capacity should I want to camp in a dry area, but have enough water to cook dinner and to cook breakfast and pony up on water the next morning.

Excellent soft water bottle.
I have used platypus bottles in the past and decided to give Evernew a try. I love that the cap is attached to the bottle so there is no chance of me using it. The overall quality is great and the price is in line with what I want to pay. The 28mm standard thread ensure compatibility with a wide range of products such as thread on water filters.

Great, reliable and sturdy water carriers
As the name suggests, these things are water CARRIERS and as such, they are reliable work horses: sturdy yet lightweight, roll small when empty, going strong even after years of use. I just bought another one for a backpacking trip to an area with plenty of heat but no water source. These carriers are durable, and I trust them enough to carry them inside my backpack. No leakage ever. They fit just fine with my Platypus filter. On the negative side, their opening is small and filling them from a stream or even lake is difficult. It's also tedious to dry them after the hike and before storage- takes forever, even when left out in the sun. But as water carriers, they are the best.

A must-buy for every thru-hike
I get one or two new Evernew bags every time I start a new thru-hike. Sure, I could probably reuse an old one, but the peace of mine or having a new Evernew bag or two is priceless. I use these with my sawyer squeeze and have never had an issue. From the AT to the PCT to the AZT and a ton of trails in between. 10/10, will continue buying.

Better then platypus or sawyer bags
I bought the 2 liter and really love this for using with my sawyer squeeze. The threading fits perfectly to the squeeze. I wish Platypus and Sawyer would step things up and start attaching their caps as well because I lost a few of them while hiking the AT last year. The elastic cord for storing the bottles rolled up is a really nice added touch which I've replicated on my other soft bottles.I use this with my sawyer squeeze and have modified it to use as a gravity filter by punching holes in the bottom corners and tying a 2ft string to each end. This lets me screw the filter to the bag, and then attach my drinking tube to the filter, and hang it upside down to let gravity do the work. This also puts less stress on the bags then squeezing them. The bags are also much easier to carry when full with these cords tied to the bottom since they act as a handle. I take 2 of these with me when I'm backpacking so I can carry 4 liters into camp at the end of the day. On one end of the string I have a small carabiner so I can easily attach it around a branch or a beam inside a shelter.I haven't used these enough to comment on their durability, but they seem very high quality (as good as the platypus and better then the sawyer) and I have no concerns with them holding up for a long time. I highly recommend buying these so you never have to worry about losing the caps and for the nice addition of the shock cords.

light, packable, and works with sawyer squeeze
This was an awesome choice for our backpacking gear. With an adapter, it attaches to a sawyer squeeze and turns into a drip filter thant can hang on a tree or off your backpack.
