This is a comprehensive page-a-day spelling program add-on for ELA. I appreciate that there are small writing exercises as well to make sure the student comprehends the meanings and uses of the words. The 6 grade version is challenging enough yet not overwhelming because it’s only one page a day.

I'm very excited to announce that I've started creating "kick-off" lessons for each unit and am publishing them for free on my YouTube Channel: 180 Days of Spelling & Word Study w/ Mrs. Rhoades. Each interactive lesson introduces the new word list, draws the viewer's attention to important spelling patterns, rules, and affixes, and provides kid-friendly definitions for the vocabulary. My son needed an easy, quick way to practice spelling and vocabulary. We didn’t want a bulky curriculum with lots of prep or even that takes a lot of study time. I wanted something he could do on his own that just helped him practice and this is PERFECT for that. Spelling has always been a struggle for him. As he’s gotten older and learned the rules, it’s better but he still needs more practice that my daughter did at this age (where vocabulary integrated in her other subjects was sufficient). This has really helped him with that practice and to become more confident in context clues for vocabulary and in his knowledge of spelling rules.

They include standards-based activities, easy to follow instructions, and an answer key to quickly assess student understanding.I love the ease and simplicity of this product. I have purchased over a dozen for various grade levels that I have taught. Having these workbooks, especially the CD that accompanies it for easy printing, has made planning so much easier. I highly recommend these books!

We just started book so far I liked how it has 4 pages it really helps to understand the word. I didn’t like it doesn’t tell u what the word means but we looked up and wrote the definition of each word and did activities he really understood it great book but there are more things u can do on digital resources but I have not yet tried yet.

We have done the first 4 units, and I really like the daily spelling practice for my 12 year old who struggles with spelling. The lessons take about 10 minutes (so about 50 minutes per unit). It isn't overwhelming for him and is a good daily review.

I homeschool and we use this every week. We do one packet a week. I have noticed an improvement in vocabulary and spelling since we started to use this book. I’d definitely recommend this book to students anywhere from 6th - 9th grade.
