Nice shoe but NOT waterproof
Bought these shoes because they claimed to be waterproof. I enjoy disc golf and often go in the morning when dew is still on the grass. Thought these shoes would do the trick. Wrong. My socks and feet still ended up being wet. I ended up buying a pair of Gore-tex shoes to keep my feet dry. Definitely more money, but my feet are thankful. These Kwong Wah shoes are very comfortable and I now use them when I cut the grass because they offer good traction. So, overall, I'm very happy with the shoes, just don't expect to get a good pair of waterproof hiking shoes for $30. You will, however, get a nice comfortable pair of shoes which may resist a little bit of water for a brief period of time.

Great Shoes for a quarter of the price!
Ok, so I saw these online and I immediately thought about my Merrill's I need to replace. Saw the price said, I'll give it a shot, If they don't work I will return them.First thing you should note and not in the pictures. These are tie laces unlike my Merrill's that tighten down buy pulling through a tension clip (no tying involved). I'm ok with that as I had problems with one of the tension clips on my last pair where it would slip. The shoes came to me and the laces were reversed through the eyelets. Not a big deal, I re-laced them in about 5 minutes.Slipped the shoes on and took a walk around the block. The size was true to fit. I wear an 11 and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly. The support in the shoe's is not as much as I've had in some other hiking shoes I've owned but still acceptable and enough to handle what my arches want. The shoe's breathe well. I have walked in them 3 times since I've bought them. One day I did 3 miles down a trail in 85 degree's. My feet did not overheat. I did not think about the shoes once while I was hiking which is exactly the way it should be.I bought these as a throw away pair for the Superior hiking trail. If they don't survive my 10 day hike, that's ok. I will definitely buy another pair when I get back. For the price you can't beat these. They are a quality hiking shoe.Would recommend!

Comfortable Fit/Comfortable Shoe
The shoe is very comfortable from the start, fits well, and looks good. Surprisingly the shoes fit the bill which is not normally the case when I order shoes on line. These are well worth the price and a good alternative to the higher costing alternatives. I did order a slightly larger shoe than normal as they usually run small coming from outside the country; normally an 8.5 wide but ordered a 9.5. Good product and at this point would recommend them for anyone looking for a well made shoe that is not overly priced.

Kwong Wah = Very well constructed and comfortable hiking shoes
First impressions of the Kwong Wah men's hiking shoes: they look great, they fit comfortably and they're durable and very well made. I'll have to give an update on their durability and construction later on because I really haven't had them long to give them a rigorous break-in. The Kwong Wah shoes have quite a stylish design that is more appealing to me than many of the higher priced hiking shoes. I wear a size 10 sneaker/boot and ordered these in a size 10 and I was happy that they fit me perfectly. They feel pretty light to me (only weighing around 1 lb. each in my size) and this is even with the thick sole on them that provides excellent traction. The color to me is more silvery than brown, but I think it's a cool color. So far I walked in wet grass with them and my socks remained dry so they passed that test with flying colors. I haven't walked in puddles or marshy areas yet, but that will come soon enough and I'll have to assess how well they deal with being slightly submerged in water. I would certainly recommend the Kwong Wah brand to anyone looking for an affordable hiking shoe that looks good and is comfortable to wear. At this point I would say that they match up very well with the higher end hiking shoes. I'll have to check back in later to give an update on how well the Kwong Wahs hold up after multiple trips on the trail and some serious hiking adventures. Great job Kwong Wah!

Perfect fit and great value
I make a point to only leave reviews for products that I either believe are worth buying again or for ones that ended up being garbage and I can honestly say that these shoes are a great value and absolutely worth it so far. I needed a cheap pair of hiking boots for disc golfing since some courses can get a bit muddy. I took a chance on the Kwong Wah and it was absolutely the right call.First of all, I wear a size 10.5 / 11 in just about every shoe I own, I ordered an 11 and the fit is perfect.Secondly, they are fairly comfortable as well - I wore them all day the day they came in and didn't notice any discomfort. If someone needed extra support then getting some insole inserts would be a very easy fix.The material feels good and they are advertised as waterproof - I haven't walked around in a rainstorm yet but the material does feel waterproof to me when compared to some other boots I have had.I plan to update my review if anything goes wrong with the shoes but I don't anticipate that happening - build quality seems solid (especially for such a cheap shoe!), they're comfortable, and honestly they don't look bad - the picture makes them look a little more brown to me than in real life, they're kind of a light grey.Overall I think this is one of the best shoe deals I've ever seen and I'm already trying to get my disc golf buddies to hop on board.
