So great but feels a little short
I am so conflicted in trying to rate this CISSP study material. It feels like it hits so many good notes but at the same time feels a little rushed. Each one of the 10 CISSP domains is represented by 30 to 32 questions for each domain. I thought the questions were well worded and were a fairly good representation of the questions presented during the actual CISSP exam. The questions serve as a good mechanism for getting one into the right mindset for the exam which does a great job of supplementing the vanilla definitions and procedures represented in the book (e.g., The Shon Harris AIO, The Eric Conrad CISSP Study Guide, and the Official ISC2 guide). The one really valuable features of this book is the in-depth descriptions as to why an answer is correct. Moreover, there are also included explanations as to why the other possible answers were not correct. There are not many CISSP guides which provide this level of detail in the questions section. However, the problem begins when looking at the overall volume of questions within the guide. Coupled with the fact some of the questions are repeats of questions presented on the McGraw-Hill website for the All in One book (or the CD-ROM material) it makes this a little less impressive. It becomes a little hard to swallow when looking to pay for such a resource. It does not help the first chapter answers quick check section in the book has 3 answers which are inconsistent with the answers presented in the full explanation sections later.I feel like this book has a place but overall I am not sure the amount of value compares well to other resources out there. These questions are definitely going to prepare someone for the exam better than the questions at the end of each domain chapter in a regular study guide. But, I think you could get a little better value with another CISSP practice test resource.

Good exam practice, audio files priceless
I bought this book sometime before my exam date to practice. The questions helped me "think right" which is very important for the test even if you know the domain subject matter well. It also helped increase my knowledge of the domains by pinpointing aspects that may not have been explicitly called out in a book or training. Having an explanation of why a particular answer was right or wrong was helpful. It certainly helped identify gaps and weaker areas in my study and helped focus my time and efforts in the home stretch. As helpful as the practice exams were, the Shon Harris audio files available for download from the McGraw Hill website were priceless. It really helped me review the 10 domains in detail. There were a couple of glitches that I found in the audio files (two of them were truncated) but that was easily fixed. I am not an audio book reader but this did help a lot, especially since I wasn't stuck behind a desk trying to read through a 1000+ pages. :)

Very useful
I have dowloaded this book (Kindle edition) to supplement the official CBK review book with more practice questions. Honestly I was fully frustrated from this book, as it covered topics, that were not in the official book, not were mentioned in the course. I scored on the practice exams waay below the pass rate and I felt that I have no chance to make the real one. What I really liked about the book is though that it had very detailed and meaningful explanation why a particular answer was selected, it gave a very good insight in the thoughtprocess of the exam. All in all it was a very useful read despite the initial frustration.

Not the most helpful set of sample questions
For me the most helpful practice exams associated with the CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide by Shon Harris were found in a program included with the Exam Guide: "Total Seminars' Total Tester Software, with over 1,400 practice questions covering all ten CISSP domains".Also included with the Exam Guide is access to online test questions, however the link in the book didn't work and I had to contact McGraw-Hill to get a working link. One issue with the above questions, they don't appear to have been updated with the latest material in the CISSP domains so you may see some questions that are not covered in the Exam Guide.I would rate this book, CISSP Practice Exams, as a distant third, and the questions in the Exam Guide a very distant fourth.

It isn't tooo different from her previous version.
For each chapter domain, the first 25 questions are EXACTLY the same. There are 5 or so more questions for each chapter and a few of the questions are actually where there is a scenario in which a few questions apply to that scenario. Very helpful. But to pay that much for a few more questions. ---ehhh....I don't know if it was worth paying the extra $$.I am not saying the questions aren't good, just that I would have expected more new questions and not the same ones questions by question as in the previous version. If you have the previous version I think you'd be fine unless you want to waste your $$ to pay another copy with a few more questions in each chapter.

Could be helpful, but unessary, passed the exam
I was not impressed with the quality of the questions. Having practice material might have been helpful if I read the Shon Harris text, but unnecessary.I read the Darril Gibson text in six days and passed the exam on the seventh. The plan was to use this book to review at the end sixth day, style of the questions and some of the material presented in the practice test was different than the both the book I read and the information presented on the exam.I worked through the first five sections of the book, but did not bother to finish the text. Passed the exam with no issue.

highly recommended complement to All-In-One book
The distinctive about this book is that it explains each of the answers, not just the best answer. This is critical for exam prep and is missing from Shon's All-In-One book and virtually all other prep material. I've only seen it in Eric Conrad's book and my own CISSP training material. I highly recommend it as a complement to Shon's All-In-One book (one might say it should have been included in that book, but All-In-One is already oversized) or to any other CISSP prep book.Bill Curd, PhD

Excellent quality
I found this book to be very good quality, particularly compared to more expensive test engines from the usual suspects. The answers are comprehensive, allowing you to get into the mind set of the examiner. Test engines from other providers are poorly written, with little explanation of the answers. This is good quality at a fraction of the price. It is worth noting though that this compliments Shon Harris' CISSP study book. If (like me) you used a different study guide you may not have read some of the material associated with these questions. I found one main study guide, this book and Mike Meyers' CISSP Certification Passport very helpful. Sadly it seems to be the case that no one book will teach you everything you need to know for the CISSP exam.As it says on the tin don't let the real exam be your first exam !

I Used this as Part of Passing CISSP
I got this to take the test recently as my other books were from 2011. I think as a final exam prepartion it's very good. This gives plenty of practice questions (250 + another 1000 online) so is beneficial in terms of being able to practice doing relaistic questions. The answers are all explained fairly well so it's a good way to identify and fill knowledge gaps. Beware though that sometimes the brief answer list at theend of the chapter is sometimes wrong, so do also check the detailed answers and explanations. I also found the odd question that had two options exactly the same, or seemed wrong, but I am talking maybe max 4 out of the whole lot.The questions are very much in the style of the exam, and cover all the areas pretty well, but don't expect the actual questions to come up, as that certainly wasn't my experience.

Out of date book! Isn't relevant for the CISSP EXAM!!!
It's out of date! How can you sell a book that covers the 10 security domains when there are 8!The CISSP exam was re-written in 2015 to cover 8 instead of 10 security domains. This book makes no mention of this.Only cowboys would tout this book as being correct, when in fact the security domains presented in this book are invalid.OK, so the questions are probably good, but I'd prefer to have a reference that is pertinent to the actual current exam, not how the exam 'used to be'.!

Indepth and very descriptive
Good tool for prep, but also a very good revision guide. I have worked through chapters in this book before using the all-in-one book as you get to the core of the subject.
