NDNs - Check It Out!
As a Native person, I am cautious in introducing New Age/Metaphysical subjects to my NDN friends and family (FYI to the non-Natives reading this: many, many Native people are scornful of these things; they view the often clumsy incorporation of Native teachings into worldwide metaphysics as the frequent theft of a culture the thieves can never truly comprehend). When I started reading oracle cards a few years ago, I loved them so much and began seeking a way to share my newfound knowledge with those closest to me. This deck was the answer. It was created by a woman who lived with a (Cree?) tribe out west, and the symbols are based on that tribe's clans and beliefs (I like that it didn't take a "one-size-fits-all-Indians" approach). As you read them, you will find yourself interpreting to your own tribe's teachings and recognizing the symbology in that context. Even so, take a look at the book and just see if there's a little more information to be gleaned from each card. The cards are remarkably easy to read, with each one bearing three key words on the front. You almost don't need the book, but you might want to refer to it anyway until you get to know them better. The medicine wheel chart that comes with the deck is pretty cheesy and you probably won't use it. I usually do a simple three card spread, but there are some very intriguing suggestions in the book. I particularly liked the calumet/pipe layout and got some good readings from it right off the bat.The first time I read for my mother and my aunt, both elders, I was amazed to learn my great-grandfather was known to read an ordinary deck of playing cards. He helped a lot of people in his village and it made me so proud to hear that. I spread a nice cloth on the table, smudged the cards and ourselves, and read for them. They loved it! If you are looking for a deck that respects the Red Road and won't offend your ancestors, this is probably the one for you.

Wow...Just wow.*Update*
I have looked at these cards a few times over the last year always thinking, "I really need to try those."When they arrived the other day, not only were they beautifully designed as described, they are absolutely gorgeous. Each card is well thought out and portrays such emotion and has such beautiful messages. The first time I sat down with them I tried a layout shown in the small guide book called "The Blossoming Flower" and was simply amazed. It was not only uplifting but it gave gentle direction in the right way.In my opinion they would be great for everyone from experienced readers to novice beginners. They are easy to follow, the book is well written, and the cards seem extremely well made. And that's not even including the beautiful little poster that is a map of the Native medicine wheel.Being Native American myself I connected easily with these cards, but I think anyone no matter your family linage would simply adore the beauty of these cards.I truly think I have found a new favorite deck and I can promise I will be using them often. <3*Update*Over a year later and I am still in awe of these cards! In my experience these are easy for anyone to connect with, they always point out whats going on around you clearly, and always seem to give a good direction to go in.I have read myself countless times, and have done probably 30+ readings on others over the last year with these. There are actually several that ask me specifically to use these cards each time.Even after all that they look like new. They are truly one of my favorite decks out of the 20+ I have. Soon I'll be stocking up on them, for myself and as gifts for others.Highly recommended, no matter if your beginner or a more advanced reader! <3

LOVE these cards!! Graphics and messages meld well together.
These are the best cards I have purchased yet. The graphics are what drew me to them first as I purchased the animal deck from the same artist. Overall though these cards are amazing.. I am an animal and nature lover and follow my native american ancestors and this deck is the best fit yet. Purchased another one for my niece because when I did a reading for her she also was drawn to it.

a very powerful and incredible spiritual tool
The moment i received my cards i knew that i had made a wise choice, i was truly excited and elated when they arrived and i opened the package to discover a truly beautiful and powerful deck.being of native heritage and brought up on the native traditional path by my Blackfeet grandmother i can honestly say i was very skeptical having seen the cards advertised here on amazon.i have seen many such quote unquote native oracles and decks of so called native teaching but this deck is far from inaccurate or new age it is a very easy to understand and very pleasing medium to work with, having done tarot readings myself for many years and working with many many decks i can say i was impressed and delighted when i used this deck in a reading with a client for the first time i can say without reservation you will not be sorry with this purchase.if you are truly looking for a nice and easy to understand deck this is it.Crowdancer

I have a very close, personal relationship with these cards and I truly love them. They are special!
This Spirit of the Wheel meditation deck by Linda Ewashina changed my life. It was the first deck of Native American cards with animal spirits in it and I had the most beautiful experiences with it. I did readings for myself and others and every feedback I received was deeply touching and very positive. It felt great to have made such a wonderful impact on other people's life and especially on my own. It set something free within me and I still use it to this day regularly for years now. I have a very close, personal relationship with these cards and I truly love them. They are special!

Beautiful but too pricey for quality
Lovely messages, size is good but the cards are very flimsy, like generic index cards. Returning with heavy heart

Beautiful First Nations Oracle Deck
This Oracle Deck is very versatile how I use it. It can be used in small 1-3 card spreads or as a full 40 card wheel. I intend to combine it with my Lakota Sweat Lodge Cards and my Vision Quest Tarot Deck. It represents the First Nations Spirituality quite authentically. I like that it contains a prayer suggestion too. The illustrations are stunning and I like the key words on the cards. The only improvement would be a sturdier box - but that would raise the price I guess.

Spirit of wheel Deck
Die Verpackung des Decks ist in sehr schlechter Qualität. Die Karten selbst gehen. Für einen längeren u. häufigen Gebrauch wünschte ich eine bessere Qualität.

Disheartening
For the cost of the cards, it was very disheartening to have them arrive, only to find out I could of printed them off myself. The book was photocopied paper. However, Images on the cards are beautiful and would of loved to work with them, but returned due to the fact that I knew the cards would be ruined after a couple uses. Not worth the money..
