Yes, Very suggestable!
I bought this coil to enhance an old points ignition and I highly recommend!! I was working on 3.0 alpha on mercruiser. I also changed out the Dist. cap as well as the cap & starter solenoid. Boat hasn't run this good in years!

Poor quality, short life.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Online rating and review of specs looked good. Disappointingly the coil failed after 91 hours of run-time. Primary is open. I am not impressed at all. Coils are low-tech devices that if built properly should last for decades. Either this one was defective or it is a crappy design. Paid for a "premium" coil, it prematurely failed and it isn't even heavy enough to now use as a boat anchor...
