AT LONG LAST...a perfect holster?
Awesome holster.ALS retention locks up tight but is slick and easy once you depress the release tab with your thumb. Very slight amount of wiggle once locked up but I mean very little.I’ve seen reviews online mentioning slide wear - it’s possible. Not worried about it - it’s a Glock. Folks pay more for “battleworn finish..”Paddle is flexible so fits well without digging into your side. Large paddle and it’s secure. Not overly hard to remove, flex and rock and wiggle. Definitely not falling off your belt by accident and it doesn’t feel like someone could rip it off either.7TS material feels very sturdy. I think it’ll last just fine.I haven’t tried the belt loop piece, just running the paddle and I like it so much, I don’t know that I’ll use the belt loops. As far as concealment, this isn’t the best unless you’re wearing a bulky jacket or long sleeve shirt. It sits out a little further away from my body than my Bravo Concealment holster. I prefer appendix carry in a Humboldt Hideaway for CC anyway. That being said, for open carry, the Safariland is absolutely awesome. Plus, unlike the Bravo Concealment holster, the Safariland has retention.

Excellent holster
It is very well made and the materials are durable. The particular pistol for which it is made fits perfectly snug. Extremely comfortable fitting paddle too. The release is in an excellent position and easy to use for the wearer while limiting the ability of someone attempting to take weapon in a physical confrontation.

Great Holster for Range Practice and Competition
Nice, works great, Good retention, quick draw. Love the release. I prefer it to the Blackhawk release.I use it for the Glock 17 and Glock 19 for competition and practicing on the steel at the range.I took off the paddle and have it affixed to my belts. Own a few and strap them to friends that come out with me or that I'm training.Good stuff. Like I said, only have used it for Glocks. I like the Kydex, it covers the trigger, keeps the firearm secure, and there's no delay on the draw with the thumb release.ALS on the belt. Give it a try.

Perfect fit and very secure with quick release
Perfect fit. Secure (maybe a little too secure). Crisp locking action and release lever. All in all, a great holster. My only complaint is that it's hard to slide on and off my waistband. The paddle is rigid and the cleat that keeps you from pulling the holster off when you draw the weapon really secures the holster in place. It really takes some effort to get this holster on and off. I've had paddle holsters in the past with leather paddles and they were easier to get on and off. But this holster has a more secure locking mechanism than those leather holsters and the lever release is faster than the snap-on keeper strap, so I do like this holster.

Prints a little more but comfortable and secure with smooth draw.
Bought this because it matches my duty holster so I already have experience drawing from it. I've only worn it on my hip with the paddle and it does print a little more than I'm used to but it comes with a belt loop attachment, allen key and screws so with a swap I may be able to get it to ride closer to the body. I'm definitely confident in the retention of the holster and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Comfortable while sitting and driving and very secure.
I use it while working as an armored truck driver/hopper. I can go 10 to 12 hours with this thing on my hip and it is like it isn't even there. I never feel the need to adjust it and it is comfortable while walking, sitting and driving. It is secure and looks decent as well. The best part is the thumb release. I am using it with the paddle on a regular belt and sometimes on a duty belt. There is a hook that grabs the bottom of the belt to secure it and prevent attempts at grabbing it as seen in my 1st pic. It is light and compact compared to the old school leather holster I used before with a .38 revolver. I highly recommend it and any similar Safariland models. I've seen many local police and sherriffs using similar Safariland holsters for the Glock 17. The plastic is sturdy and has held up well in the face of daily use and abuse. It has some scratches especially on the paddle. But it is hard to notice and there are no major ones or any cracks. It is structurally very strong. There is a woman I worked with a few times who has the level 3 version of this for Glock 19 which has strap that goes over the top. As a concealment holster, this is not great. It shouldn't really even be advertised as a concealment piece. You can't conceal it unless you wear a jacket and at that point almost any holster can be concealed. I bought a nice simple inside the waist holster from Gould and Goodrich for that purpose. This Safariland is an open carry holster only, in my opinion.

Nice holster
I like this holster and the ALS feature It works really well. The only problem I see with it is that it is a bit bulky for concealed carry. It works well if you have a jacket or a coat on but just carrying it under a t-shirt prints a lot. It is very durable and a reliable holster and The ALS works really well.
