It was a gift, but well received
I actually was able to buy myself an Excalibur on a lightning deal for about the price I got this before Covid-19 kicked in, but I was playing cook games with a friend of mine as we are both teleworking, and we moved on to Jerky so I sent him this (as the Excalibur was way too expensive by now). I'm giving it 5 stars because he loves it, but I think I would be disappointed with it having a better dehydrator (at twice the price).

Great for jerky
I used it to make jerky and it comes out great. The automatic timer and digital control on the 9 tray make it easy to set it and forget it and get exact temperature use. Also its pretty easy to clean. Max temp is 158 F

Not a meat dehydrator
I purchased to make jerky...turns out the dehydrator is not meant for making jerky it only gets up to 158. I do love that it is a square tray design-easy to use. You can view the items being dehydrated thru clean window. I've found if you don't get the trays placed exactly PERFECT they collapse on top of each other and all mesh together. Perhaps the dehydrator side walls (made of plastic) aren't firm enough which over time expand (bow) and don't go back in place to keep the trays in line on each shelf. My two cents...based on it not being able to do jerky and the shelves not being stable...look for another dehydrator.

was only able to use 3 months!!!
Bought this product to give my new puppy natural wholesome snacks, which I did. Bought this unit Jan12,20. It broke down June3,20. Afraid to get same replacement unit. received refund.

Life saver!
This machine right here saved my roommates life! She’s a heavy drinker and would be passed out all day after long nights of drinking, I got this little bad boy dehydrator and been making beef jerky nearly every other day, the smack in your face aroma of the marinated meat sweats got her blood pumpin good! now she wakes up from early mornings smell of my meat and it’s like Instant morning wood! She’ll jump up and down and can’t wait to get some of my meat in her mouth! 10/10 would buy again!

New house dehydrator
I was disappointed because I didn't realize that the temperature only goes to 158 degrees and I need 160 2 do beef jerky sadly enough there are no accessories you can purchase with this and you have to buy separate from other companies 2 cut to fit liners
