While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s pet book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s pet movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author; Tangled Oak Press; BookBub; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Fun to read story
Drew and Libby find an abandoned rabbit on the side of the road, but they know their parents’ rule: No pets allowed. They decide to keep the rabbit without their parents knowing, hiding it in Drew’s closet. The rabbit continually escapes, waking Drew up in the middle of the night and leaving puddles of pee on Drew’s bed. When the rabbit chews through the legs of Drew’s bed, their parents become convinced they have a rat infestation. Knowing the exterminator will find the rabbit in his closet, Drew takes the rabbit with him to school. When the rabbit escapes, it’s only a matter of time before Drew and Libby’s parents find out what’s really been going on in their house. The beginning of The Rabbit Ate My Homework by Rachel Elizabeth Cole was a little confusing because the first few chapters seemed to have very little to do with each other. In the end, the two storylines merged and everything made perfect sense. This was a very cute, fun to read story. Even though it is aimed at kids (and my 7 and 9 year old boys both liked it), I found myself wondering what the rabbit would do next and worrying about what would happen when the kids were caught with the forbidden pet. A great read-aloud and also great to give to older children to read on their own.

Boys and girls alike can enjoy this Bunny Book.
I'm a retired teacher, a mom of five grown and married voracious readers with eleven (so far) grandkids who are voracious and advanced readers themselves. I enjoy reading what they read, and also like to recommend books and series to and for them. I really like this book because it's appropriate for a wide range of ages important when you're always dealing with kids reading way above age level, and this would also be a good book for an older child to read to younger siblings. Further, having a plethora of boys in our family, I've learned that finding "good boy" books can be difficult, but this book has both a boy in charge and a younger sister as the main characters...and the rabbit of the title. While humorous, , the children have very realistic problems to face and defeat. The kids mostly solve the short term problems, but when everything spins out of control, responsible adults help. It's a realistic book and deals with real problems which real kids are faced . Disobedience, lying, and bullying are all dealt with in an appropriate way. It may not be as exciting as some of the popular fantasy series, but it is in no way less enjoyable. I look forward to sharing and testing it out in the next couple weeks as I go visiting.

I thought the book was about my bunny! I laughed. So accurate on bunny (and kids) behaviour!
I love reading YA books and this one caught my eye because I had owned a rabbit that looked like the one on the cover. I had a red Giant Flemish (but much bigger than the one in the book). As I read the ordeal these kids went through I was laughing. Something that starts out so small gets turned into a big fiasco! As for the bunny, Everything they said the bunny did such as kick up it's heals, litter trained, jump over baby gates....yep, they can do all that and more! All though my bunny passed away last year at age 10 and 22 lbs, reading this book brought back all the happy memories of her. If you ever owned a bunny, especially one you keep indoors, you will love this book. If you have kids that love fuzzy, furry critters, they will love this book. You will want to buy the next one in the series!
