Lots of Fun and a perfect combo of characters
This was a really fun read. It lacked seriousness, but that's not too surprising seeing who was headlining the title. If you're a fan of either Hawkeye or Deadpool, you'll enjoy this one.Hawkeye vs Deadpool is a short, five issue comic run that follows both Hawkeyes and Deadpool as they hunt for a flash drive full of SHIELD identities. In their way- Typhoid Mary, Black Cat, and a bunch of brainwashed asylum patients. It's a light read with lots of fun quips and jokes that is sure to entertain. Both Hawkeye and Deadpool have a similar sense of humor in that they're always the comic relief of stories. I liked that they chose to pair them up. I loved that Kate was there as well, since I love her, but I do think she was written rather poorly. She was treated, by the writer, as a much more "girly" version of her character. Don't get me wrong, she's not not "girly" but they just painted her in a strange light, I thought. It got on my nerves a bit since from other books you don't get this from her. Also annoying- the art seemed to keep changing. It was really slight but it got on my nerves nonetheless. I did enjoy the art overall, though. The cover is one of my absolute favorite pieces in the whole book, honestly.I think most people will enjoy this one. I myself am a huge Hawkeye fan (less of a Deadpool fan) and I thought it was a good story. I do think it focuses a bit more on Hawkeye than Deadpool, especially with the way the story starts and ends.

Another Deadpool spinoff that's not bad
It’s Halloween and Deadpool and his family stop by Clint Barton’s for some candy. On the way out some mad men dressed as Crossbones and Daredevil attack the two heroes. Thus starts Hawkeye vs. Deadpool. It turns out there’s a plot to brainwash people to do some dirty work. Along the way a new Hawkeye is also introduced. This is obviously part of Marvel’s never ending attempt to cash in on Deadpool by making various team up comics. Deadpool gets to be goofy as usual, while Barton is the straight man. There are some funny bits such as when DP gets to ride Hawkeye’s Sky Cycle. It’s actually not bad overall.

One of the Funniest Superhero Comics I've Ever Read
Bought this for my son, who likes both characters, figuring it was a quick-money knockoff combining the box office stud and the Eisner-winning cult comic, but at least he'd get a kick out of seeing the guys together. Instead, this turned out to be an unexpectedly fun and flat out hilarious comic book loaded with punchy one-liners that made me LOL several times and integrates characters and running gags from both heroes' titles very well. The cleverest joke in the book only works if you're familiar with the first Hawkeye run from Matt Faction (it involves Lucky the dog), but there are a ton of other good jokes too, and the dynamic between the two heroes is like something out of a buddy action flick. Things get a little less interesting once Kate Bishop's Hawkeye gets added to the mix---as usual she's the unconvincing protégé showing up her mentor---but the story's well under way by that point and she can't derail it.Highly entertaining, very funny, a fast and enjoyable read.

ReadingBifrost: an amusing addition to the Marvel universe that fans are bound to enjoy
“Don’t you just hate chases where you can’t just shoot the people you’re chasing!?”This is completely NOT a “vs.” comic, but I couldn’t help but love it despite being fooled by the title. By the cover and the blurb the reader expects and full out brawl between our Marvel archer and undying anti-hero, but in reality it’s a bunch of (hilarious) bickering and Deadpool stepping in to save a brainwashed Hawkeye.Putting that bit aside, Duggan borrowed Matt Fraction’s Clint Barton and Kate Bishop- which works just fine to keep the Marvel ‘verses together. Deadpool even gets confused when Hawkeye’s dog gets his standard panels. The three battle against Black Cat who stole confidential information- not a very thick plot- but I think this comic centers more or less around the comedy aspect as Hawkeye and Deadpool are making snark comments about Black Cat and Spiderman throughout (*snicker*), and Deadpool eventually ends up in the classic Hawkeye costume.Overall, Hawkeye vs Deadpool is an amusing addition to the Marvel universe that fans are bound to enjoy.www.ReadingBifrost.com

Hawkeye vs Deadpool
While out trick-or-treating with the kids Deadpool and Agent Preston stop by Hawkeyes for regular sized candy bars, but he switched to fun sized. while there a computer nerd tries giving Hawkeye a thumb drive with SHIELD agents info he got. He gets shot by big guy dressed as Punisher while other people dressed like heros attack others. Hawk chases the Punisher one but instead of being caught he jumps in front of truck to kill himself. Now Hawk, DP, and Kate must team and look into this. Black Cat has a doctor that can brainwash anyone and Typhoid Mary helping her find that thumb drive. Even Hawkeye was brainwashed. Lots of adventure and twist and turns in trying to keep the thumb drive out of evil hands. Along with Deadpool's crazy humor.

Such fun!
Ahhhhh this thing! Such a good comic and very funny. It does not need a stron basis in the Marvel Comic Universe to enjoy so it makes a good comic for newbies! It has lots of humor as well as excelent drawing and detail. It has definetly developed my knowledge of the characters and is just a really fun comic book. Worth every penny. One little thing though, the title is misleading as is the cover; although it is about hawkeye and deadpool, it is not exaclty a vs situation. They are not pitted against eachother so much as being an unlikely team up.

Best team-up...
These characters just mesh, brilliantly, with fine story, great art, and usual Deadpool humour giving Hawkeyes some unusual problems....great fun, much enjoyed. Vol.2 please? I know 'pool have 'teamed up' with many MU characters, but this just worked even better for me...
