Sharp, and fun to build
The detail on this little model is amazing. Very fine and clean. The pieces snap together very satisfyingly. No glue. And this is not some cheaply made easy-build kit. Though it is easy TO build...Each piece looks like it could be an actual section of the ssd in the shipyard, so no building a model where the tip attaches to the rear in some goofy way.About 6 inches long. Not to big and not to small; It feels like a good size.VERY fun to build. I'd buy it again, except I can't imagine a fleet with two SSDs 😂

Easy to build
This took about 10 minutes to fully assemble, and be aware that the instructions are mostly in Japanese. I originally used a darker Air Force gray for the hull, but I liked the contrast that the primer gave from the dark gray, so I repainted it with the primer. Excellent little desk accent that doesn’t take up a lot of room, sitting at about 7-1/2 inches long and 1-7/8 inches high.

This model is amazing
It's incredibly detailed and all the pieces snap seamlessly together, no glue needed! My only complaint is that none of the plastic is colored, just an odd grayish white. But the imperial ssd is only, like, two colors anyways.

The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am.
I love Bandai Models don't get me wrong but a few things need to be said about this kit.First off: Don’t be upset when you open this (tiny) kit and see no instruction sheet. There IS a basic "This symbol means that etc, etc..." sheet but if you have never built a kit before you might be a little taken aback by the fact that there is no step by step instructional sheet. Now look in the lid of the box and there you go: instructions for assembly. The step by step drawings are all pretty straight forward and they will have to do because what text there is is in Japanese. This is NOT a "snap together kit". Bandai has always made "Press fit" kits which means they press together well without glue for the most part which means they can be taken apart again for running wiring for lights and painting. Snap together kits have always been poor quality, bad fit, and impossible to get apart again after “snapped” and that certainly isn't any Bandai Kit I've ever built.Lastly, as I said: I love Bandai for it's precision and attention to detail but COME ON! Seven inches for one of the biggest most impressive ships of the Imperial Line? Please grow a pair Bandai and put out a kit that's at least a few feet in length! We builders want it, we can take it and we WILL buy it!Call it the "Perfect Grade Super Star Destroyer" and take my money!Lastly it should be noted that this Super Star Destroyer is the SAME ONE as in the bigger box version that includes a regular star-destroyer along with it. The kit with two ships has clear bases but other than that and the inclusion of another model, it’s the same scale as this one.4 stars for "Lack of vision"(size)...and assembly instructions in the lid (to save space I guess?)

Its ok but SMALL!
To freaking tiny for the money! Details are great though but compared to my 4 ft model, Nah!

Absolutely perfect and my new favorite Bandai Star Wars kit
WOW!! Just WOW!! I couldn’t find 1 thing wrong with this kit. I hope the pictures help show just what kind of Quality you’re going to get yes I did paint this my self , I’m just a amateur the paint colors I used are Flat light gray & Flat dark Gull gray from model masters acrylic water base paint. I use this paint because it’s water base & it dries with no brush marks & totally flat with no shine witch is key for models this small I used NO primer and no clear topcoat you don’t need it for a kit this small it will only hide detail & ruin the scale of the model just make sure you thing the paint with water & test it 1st it should dry fast Flat with no raised surfaces or brush marks. The model is super thin but if your careful you can drill small holes in the Engine nozzles & add small Fiber optic wires but you’ll have to run the fiber optics through the bottom of the ship into the stand for the power & light source
