Good material, no funky smell
Nice thickness and no chemical smells. I bought this to cut out a custom trunk cover for a Mercedes SL550. I removed the trunk floor panel and set it over the best position on this matt. Using a white pencil, I traced the outline of the floor panel. Robust scissors were used to easily cut out the marked shape. The resulting matt fits perfectly in the trunk and I now have good protection of the carpet and better grip for things not sliding around.

Quality rubber, Easy to cut
Slightly lighter grey than photo but good quality rubber & center lip is a decent height. I have a 2007 Toyota RAV4 and while none of the cut grooves fit my car I was able to trim it to fit. My fabric sheers cut through it with relative easy, would recommend.

Very happy with my purchase for my 2001 Honda Civic sedan!
I have a 2001 Honda Civic 4-door sedan. There had been a laundry detergent spill in the trunk many years ago, on the way home from grocery shopping, and the carpet liner never really recovered. Over the years, I've also moved gardening supplies and plants back there, and the liner was looking pretty grungy in 2025.I took a chance on this cargo liner for its low price and it has worked out very well!I removed the carpet piece from the trunk and used it as a pattern, drawing an outline around it on the rubber liner with a Sharpie. Then I cut the rubber piece, slightly outside the lines I drew. I figured I could always make it smaller, but there would be no way to put pieces back if I cut the liner too small. It turned out it was a good idea to cut slightly oversize -- it covers more of the trunk bottom, and easily bends up the sides for the extra inch or so, giving me better coverage overall. The cutting guides on the rubber liner did NOT correlate to the size and shape I needed, so the pattern-tracing was necessary to get it right. The rubber was not easy to cut, especially when cutting between the cutting guides, where the rubber is thicker. You'll need extremely good scissors. I ended up using an expensive pair of sewing sheers, meant for precision cutting of fabric (at the risk of dulling the blades). From now on, I'll add a rubber trunk liner to every car I own, when I first buy it.It offers great protection, like putting a screen saver on your iPhone before you drop it or scratch it.I like that my trunk is now cleaner for luggage and other items. And I know I'll be able to easily to hose it down and get it clean again, unlike the carpet liner. The bottom of the rubber liner has little gripper prongs to help it stay in place on top of the carpet.I think you can't go wrong with this item, at least if you have a smaller car like my Civic. I don't know how well it would fit a hatchback or an SUV, but you could check the measurements first. The dimensions are sketched out in one of the photos.

You have to cut it yourself to fixed your trunk
Love this mat. It’s strong and can hold everything. I cut it to fit my vehicle. They shipped it in two boxes. A smaller one and then put a bigger one. The bigger box was unnecessary. That bigger box cost me more money to pay for in shipping

Great Mat!!!!!
This is a great mat for the price and I mean it's well worth it and should do the job just as well as the costlier ones. The rubber is flexible and of great quality. Get it now for $25 before trump's tariff's ( a Arabic word for tax ) kicks in.

Fit a Honda 2020 Passport LX-£
The quality is great for the price. The coverage of the back of the vehicle was sufficient only needed minor trimming. Easy to trim with scissors. The surface of the rubber has a slightly tacky feeling so has a lot of grip. Should be easy to clean by simply taking it off and rinsing it with soap and water. Had it for about 4 months holding up well. the color when purchased is like a subdued deep charcoal gray.

heavy odor from mat
the mat is of good quality and gives a lot of flexibility to properly fit due to the ability to cut it as needed. But the odor from the mat was a very heavy rubber odor, almost overpowering. I did not even put it in my new van as the smell was just too heavy. I thought I would allow it to breath for awhile (1 week), so I put it on top of some items in my insulated shed, in hopes that eventually the air circulating would dissipate the smell - no such luck. Unfortunately, I had to return it

No smell
Was worried this would smell- but was pleasantly surprised that it didn't. It was thin enough to easily cut down with scissors, but think enough to protect the back of out 2025 Lexus 550.
