Bought these for my husband’s pirate costume. We ordered a size medium. He normally wears 9 1/2-10, they were slightly big but still work.

Im a large guy (270) with fairly stout calves. After reading other reviews i was concerned about the fit. But even with the pants it zipped fine.Fit great and was actually quite comfortable for about 4 hours. After that, comfort dropped dramatically. One of the biggest issues i think is the zipper got so hot in the sun that it literally burned my leg.Aestheticly speaking i dont think you fill find a pair that looks better. Ive never felt more like a pirate.

Color was perfect. Fit great. Came in sooner than expected. I would buy from them again!!

I got these boots to wear with my Ned Stark (Game of Thrones) Halloween costume. As you can see in the pic, they are really, really awesome!Fit:I'm 6 ft tall and around 200 lb. I normally wear a size 9 wide shoe, or a 9 and a half regular, depending on the shoe. With dress socks, the Medium boots were ever so slightly large. But, by the time I put a Dr Scholl's pad in each one and put on athletic socks, the fit was excellent. I wore them for several hours, mostly indoors. They were excellent to walk around in. In fact, I forgot I had them on.As far as the fit of the uppers, my ankles and calves are average, not skinny nor big. When zipped all the way up, the uppers fit like they were custom-made for me (just-right snug). I feel fairly sure that someone with larger ankles and calves may not be able to zip them. On me, the uppers stay in place (no falling down).Overall quality:Awesome, as long as you remember that you are paying for costume boots, not everyday wear. If you get a few uses out of them, and they help your costume look great, then you got what you paid for. I'm SUPER-happy with them for the money!

I got these for the renaissance faire and they worked pretty good. They look great for fake leather. The tread is flat so they might be slick but I didn’t have a problem.

I purchased these to replace a pair of cheap boot covers that were wearing out. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase, however there were a couple of areas where they fell short of my expectations.First the good: They look fantastic! I got the black medium, and they look even better in person than in the photo. The faux leather is distressed just enough and worked perfectly with my pirate outfit. They fit perfectly too, which is something I was particularly worried about. Of course, everyone's feet are different, but at least it's nice to know that the size range they quoted was spot on. Another big plus is that they don't sag at all, and the fold over part stays put -- two problems that plagued me constantly with my old boot covers.The downside of this is that you can't fold the flap up on these. There is a very prominent zipper that runs all the way from the sole to the top. It's black and blends in for the most part, but to some it will definitely be a deal breaker so it's not surprising that they avoid showing it in the photos. On the plus side, the zipper itself seems pretty sturdy and makes getting into the boot a snap.There is no padding at all in the in-sole, so you will probably have to add something, especially since the heel is made of hard plastic and offers no shock absorbtion at all. They click-clack quite loudly on concrete and hard floor surfaces.Despite the drawbacks, I feel that I got a really nice pair of "starter" boots for an amazing price, so I'd recommend them to others.

Many other reviewers have spoken on the quality of these boots, and my experience is no different. I am extremely pleased with these for the price, they are a huge upgrade from the boot covers that came with my costume that I plan to wear for Halloween.That being said, I wanted to provide my input as far as sizing is concerned. Information is spotty and I was wary about purchasing, but I'm glad I did. First off, I did find elsewhere this sizing chart:S: 8-9M: 10-11L: 12-13I noticed several people who said they are in the 9-10 range who ordered a medium and said they fit well. My shoes are all a 9 or 9.5 so I decided to go with the small and I'm glad I did. They fit very well, almost even a little extra room, probably just enough for some inserts for the soles. When I purchased, it was Prime and they were offering free returns in accordance with the standard clothing return policy. YMMV but something to keep in mind, helped make it easy to take a chance.I haven't worn them out and about yet so can't comment on long-term comfort or durability at this point.All in all, a great purchase for any sort of pirate-themed costume.EDIT: With the extra slack in the boots, I decided to go ahead and get some inserts before wearing these out for two consecutive evenings and I'm glad I did. The boots were quite comfortable to wear for 6+ hours on consecutive days, and I felt they really added to the costume.

Just a warning it isn’t real leather but certainly doesn’t disappoint. As for integrity I can’t really give a huge rating on it because I’ve only worn them like 3 times. But great craftsmanship for sure. Perfect for pirate or renaissance related stuff.
