Fantastic quality! Way better than the RPi cam v2
I really like this camera! It is much bigger than the pi cam but the picture quality is SOOO much better! Its easy to assemble and focus and it does great in dark or bright lighting.I use it for streaming video on my 3d printers and it works great! To monitor my prints I use AI with The Spaghetti Detective and this camera works perfectly, even with their Pro streaming package. Its much clearer than the Pi cam v2 and I no longer have to light up the print bed because the night vision on this camera works FANTASTIC! I am going to replace the Pi cam on my other printer and use another one of these.

Good for creative camera projects -- requires a mount
Overall: This is a nice 5MP camera and as good as can be expected in the price range. It takes clear and sharp daytime photos, and the IR lights work as described.Specific Findings:- No instructions in the box. I used the photos on the product webpage (Amazon) to determine how it was meant to be assembled.- The standard Raspberry OS camera software and commands work fine.- Attaching the IR lights is optional. The process is fiddly because of the very small bolts and nuts. Tweezers and a magnifier may be necessary.- This camera requires a mount for effective use. It has an odd shape and the short ribbon cable requires that it be kept near the computer. Hand-held shots will be blurry. See photos of a prototype mount linking the camera to a Raspberry Pi 3A+. It was made from a repurposed thin cardboard package by cutting, folding, and taping (trial and error design). The camera is attached with twist-ties, so it remains stationary and moves with the computer. The twist-ties allow vertical rotation and repositioning.- The IR lights run hot and draw a lot of power (see reddish glow in photo). The power draw limits its use on batteries, and the glowing lights are easily visible. These factors may undermine its use as a security camera.

Video quality very good.
For being an inexpensive Pi camera, this has very good quality and low light ability. Using this with my 3d printer on Octoprint. No problems and looks good.

great project looks cool
was a little hard to assemble. (screws and nuts very tiny you:ll need to create some type of mount. but a lot of neat applications

Good quality, easy setup.
The IR LEDs are pretty bright, works great with my Raspberry Pi 3B+. Picture quality is good, works great for facial recognition. No instructions on the box, but it installs the same way as any other camera for Raspberry Pi. I had to attach the IR LEDs, but they just needed to be attached to the camera with the included screws.

Great add on for specific pi makes
This worked. It’s an inter preassembled camera that just plugs into the videoPort on the pi. I used it to make the raspberry pi into stitch monitor for a longarm sewing machine. It works great.

3/4 units defective
I ordered 4 of these cameras for a home security system I'm building. One of them worked perfectly and was exactly what I was looking for. It would switch to ir mode when it got dark and it gave decent camera quality. The other three had issues. One of the three had a big black blob in the camera view. I've returned it and am waiting for a replacement. The other two suffer from the same issue. They would not switch to IR mode when it got dark. One of them would sometimes do it on occasion, but would often just not switch to IR mode and the other would not switch to IR mode at all giving horrible picture quality when recording at night. I really want to like this product and give it a good review because the one I've got working is amazing, but unless there's a way to get the IR mode switching fixed, I'll have to leave this poor review. I've reached out to customer support and if they reach back and things get resolved, I will be more than happy to leave a more positive review. Until then, I would stay away from this product and get an alternative.

Ensure a dry and safe environment
Had this hooked up to raspberry pi for a night camera but had issues after a few weeks with the raspberry pi randomly restarting and unable to connect to wireless, I found out that the camera module was the reason for it dying. When it worked, it was adequate to distinguish faces at night and looked good during the day.
