Casa Forcello Pear Mostarda, 4.9 OZ

very pungent mustard flavor!

I found this in France about 15 years ago. It popped up in a brand new small, local gourmet shop. The owner and I became friendly and he asked me to help him with his grand opening by creating some tasty treats for prospective customers. I tasted a lot of his cheeses and decided to pair this with a very mild water cracker and Camazzola cheese. I placed a small thin slice of the pear and some of the preserving liquid on top. It was a huge hit. All these years later, I found it again, and am dazzling my friends with this combination!The packaging has changed over the years, but the quality with the product inside the jar has not.

Horrible. Took two weeks to receive and both jars were cracked and leaking mostarda. They wont allow you to return the items so you are stuck footing the bill for product that you cannot use. I will never buy this product again. Dont waste your money.

I had tried this product at another event and loved it. It has a great taste and a wonderfully spicy kick. So, if you aren’t a spice person, don’t order this. Our family loves spicy foods and this goes great on a cracker with a spread of Brie or other mild cheese that you like. It’s a small jar for the price but worth it for the taste!

Tried mustardo in Italy for first time this fall- this jar is the perfect mixture of sweet and hot and a great companion to an antipasto platter. Will order more.

We use this on grilled Turkey burgers. A local restaurant does a Turkey burger with a Pear Compote that we enjoy and this Compote allows us the ability to make them at home. We have purchased numerous times and will continue to do so as this is a delicious product.

really love this mostarda. just the right amount of heat and sweetness. Not stingy with the pear, either. a little pricey, don't share (just kidding)

This was the most awful tasting stuff. I can not recommend it!
