A cheap way to get a quality essential element into your mix
Great quality and value, stands on its own as flexible synth for bright line stuff. Easy to get a wide range of quality sounds out of it within minutes. Absolutely can be made an essential part of anyone's desktop studio. Not just an alternative or a clone here but a fair competitor for essential roles in you music making.

The Crave is Excellent
This is a great sounding and surprisingly melodic synth. I didn't expect it to be this good and this versatile. I have the Behringer Wasp, which is very good, but this produces so many more sounds than the Wasp.I'm still learning and playing around with the sequencer but do sometimes stumble upon, by chance, making it work.Buy this high quality Behringer synth. You'll be very happy you did.

Fun but dive-y
Synth sounds good, but I find the menu and the sequencer interface to be a bit dive-y for my liking. If this is your first synth I'd recommend something with more apparent controls. I like the korg ms20 coupled with an external sequencer - that is an ideal setup to learn synthesis. If you are already comfortable with synthesis and just need a new synth to fiddle with this is a fun one, but it's going to take a while to get up to speed.

Powerful, User-friendly (for the most part) and fun!
What...a machine!! It does not deserve all the hate it gets. A lot of YouTubers say good and bad things about this Synthesizer. But come on...a sub 200$ Modular Synthesizer, that can do a lot for that price? You can't go wrong. I love mine.. Already made, many ambient drone tracks with it

Solid synth excellent price.
The quality of this synth is excellent!!! feels like solid metal!! the patch bay is what makes the crave an awesome synth!! my favorite thing to do is to used the external audio Input and run my drum machines through it. If you are looking for an Analog mono synth with options for experimentations for a cheap price this is it. Working with the synth functions such as saving patterns and adding glide etc is not easy because is not obvious. you will have to sit down and read the manual or watch the many YouTube tutorials available. Eventually after so many try's you will remember the shift key combination. Also Behringer has their synth tools software that allows you to do the sequencing in the computer which is really easy is, however is not a Realtime sequencer editor (which means you can't have the sequencer running and tap the notes on the computer and automatically hear the changes in Realtime) you draw the notes and then press the "store" button in order for the computer to send the changes to the synth. One thing I notice is that the changes to the sequence will not update until you power down the unit and turn it back on (unless I am doing something wrong, that is the only way I got it to work). I have no complaints about it because is an Analog synth and just having the options to save your sequences is excellent. now when you are sequencing manually without the computer saving the sequence the changes are immediate and no need to power down the unit. for the Price This synth is amazing. Behringer gets 5 stars!!!!!!

An impulse buy that’s not so bad!
Okay, it’s not a Roland, but for the money it’s more than a bit of fun… sequencer works fine although there is a learning curve for ethics unit. Again, I didn’t buy it for any professional reason… I was just intrigued. This is an extremely well-built piece of equipment…. And like I said, it’s fun…. And fun works for me.

Fantastic platform for learning synthesizers.
After dipping my toe into the ocean of analog synths with a Stylophone Gen X-1 last year, I wanted to dive deeper into sound creation with something that could connect to my MIDI keyboard as well as my computer if/when needed, without taking up a lot of space or requiring an investment in a fully modular rig. The Crave does all of that at a very modest price point, and it sounds great. Documentation in the included pamphlet is minimal, but I quickly found dozens of helpful tutorials for beginners, and I have been loving the journey so far. Would happily recommend it to anyone with a MIDI keyboard and a bit of musical background, who wants to start learning analog synthesizers but who isn't sure where to begin.
