It depends on how it is packaged. When I ordered it was 1 plate.

Q: How many plates are in one order?

You can either buy the plates in a set of 4 place settings - which includes cups, bowls, etc., or you can buy the individual pieces. I bought them both ways - several completed sets and some extra dinner plates. All on Amazon.com - but, different vendors.
