Excellent Customer Service from Techna Clip!
I've never left a review for any product prior to this but feel one is deserved in this case. Although my experience started out poorly it finished very well. I purchased a Techna Clip for my S&W Shield .40 from a provider on Amazon and it shipped promptly no problems. When I tried to install the provided part, however, it was machined poorly and would not fit. I carefully filed the piece until it would drop in but the fit was not exact. I felt the pistol was safe to test fire (and it was) but after shooting several rounds the pistol wasn't functioning properly and a few rounds stove-piped which was very uncharacteristic for the weapon. I feel this may have been due to the clip having slight movement which created contact/drag on the slide when the rounds were cycling. I removed the clip and contacted Techna Clip directly and explained the situation. The customer service rep was extremely helpful and immediately sent a replacement at no charge. The new part dropped in perfectly and after shooting several rounds there were no problems. The packaging on the first clip was different than the replacement so I'm assuming the faulty part was an earlier version and perhaps corrections had been made to quality control. The bottom line is that for me, it's a great concealed carry option and the folks at Techna Clip stand behind their products...I highly recommend. By the way, I also installed a Techna Clip on a S&W Bodyguard .380 with no problems whatsoever.

Most Comfortable Method IWB
This is a great tool for most people who carry in the waistband. For me, all of my pants have varying waist sizes (slightly) and my weight can fluctuate 5-7 lbs in a month's time. So, while holsters are an obvious method of carrying, also comes the extra needed room in waist. Using this device allows you to lose the need for additional room needed in the waist (about 1/8") where as most holsters increase gun width by over half inch and more. I've heard macho carrying guys complain that you should never carry this way but if you are like me, opting out of carrying because of waist fluctuation and gun discomfort is even more dangerous. I thoroughly enjoy and am the most comfortable using this product. I do not keep a round in the pipe but if you want to carry that way, the company offers and suggest a trigger guard that works great! As far as installing this system, take 3 minutes to watch YouTube video on how to and it will take you only 5 minutes to install. Very easy! Went to the range to test my ability/timing to draw and fire weapon- no hang ups or sloppiness and very safe! If you are wondering about the feel with racking the weapon, it's actually very comfortable and non-intrusive. While there are other company's that offer the clip system, they do not offer a wide device like this which is a true pleasure.Techna Clip Gun Belt Clip - Smith & Wesson SHIELD - Right Side

Beats a holster
Coming from an edc Shield owner and fan, buy this clip and you'll have already perfected the art of conceal carrying a Shield. I've carried this for a few months without giving any thought about it printing. I always know it's there behind my hip but unlike holsters it's never on my mind when out in public. It's more akin to carrying a phone or at most a thick wallet now. There's less having to wriggle around too when seated, and no more having to sit a certain way in a low car to accommodate both you and the gun like with a holster. The Shield is large for a subcompact handgun, but simply adding this clip neutralizes the need to carry something smaller based on worries that you'll be exposing your gun.+1 for it being a tough high tension belt clip that doesn't allow the gun to slide around the belt. Just position the gun w/clip above the pant waist where you want it seated, then snap it down over the belt. I wear it over one of my regular leather work belts or my Browning web belt. Never had an issue. The clip itself providing wider griping surface for grabbing with fingers or thumb. Makes overhand racking the slide 3 times easier. Almost feels akin to racking the thicker compact or standard M&P model.

Press the trigger bar to the side to disassemble
Only had for a few days but I do see what some people are complaining about not being able to pull the slide off with this unit. The trigger bar (the bar that is on the right side if the gun that moves when you pull the trigger that wraps around your magazine while it's it) gets stuck on the metal from the block this comes with. I saw how one person pushes their barrel down to release it and that didn't work for me. I stuck my finger in the magazine well and pressed the trigger bar to the side and my slide pulls right off. Think I'm gonna grab a fine file and file the metal just a tad at an angle and then it won't be an issue at all. For the gun guys that know what they are talking about.... It's the tab that comes up off the trigger bar that engages the sear block that is causing the issue press it to the side and it works great!

Finally a "holster" that fits me
I've had my Shield for years but never really carried it unless I had a jacket on due to the holsters I've had were just not comfortable. This however keeps the slim profile exactly as it was intended and makes it so much easier. The kit is extremely easy to install and only took me about 1 minute (tip use the allen key included with the kit to push the plastic guide inside of the slide) The aluminum piece included is very well made and looks right at home when installed. The best part is it still fits in my other holsters if I want to carry in a jacket.

Arrived Broken in a Ziplock bag
WHAT A JOKE. I would guess this steel part should be durable. Mine arrived broken in a ziplick bag. The steel clip is broken in two and the seller clearly doesn't care.
