I was surprised at the quality of this umbrella given the price. It was super easy to assemble and took just a few minutes. We opted to screw it right into the deck, but you absolutely must secure the base or it will tip over (they sell the base weights on Amazon or you can just screw it in like we did). It's been up a few weeks now through some gnarly storms and has worked out excellently for us. We keep it closed when not in use.

I was hesitant to buy this based on other reviews, but I’m so glad I did. People who have issues with sturdiness must not be using a weighted base (that it explicitly says it needs). I bought 2 50lbs sand bags from the hardware store to put on the legs and it hasn’t moved in 6 months. It did bleach out from the sun a little, but with the light gray it’s not noticeable. No rain or high wind damage! I originally tried to weigh it down with pavers, but the space between the legs was odd for what I bought so I couldn’t fit them correctly. It’s easy to open and manipulate its tilt to shade from the sun best.

I have a hot tub on my deck. Although I usually want to see the sky, there are times, such as in the middle of the day or during a light rain, where I prefer shade or cover. I bought this umbrella with the intent of bolting it to my deck. It was easy to install, although I did need to drill the holes in the stand to be a little bit bigger. It's easy to use, sturdy, and (I think) an attractive accent to the deck. I highly recommend it for how I installed and use it.

I love this umbrella!! It is doing its job when it comes to the bright sun making my room so hot. So, my room is where the patio is in my apartment. And I can't do so much to help block the sun without breaking some kind of rule. But i can have a patio umbrella and especially in the hot so cal weather my room would get so hot. Now, its completely the opposite my room is cool. I love it and so far so good.

As far as the umbrella goes it's exactly what I ordered I searched through what felt like hundreds of umbrellas to pick this specific one that came with weights for the base. Unfortunately when I received it it did not have the weights in the box, I went back and reviewed my order and noticed they had changed the picture and description of the Umbrella parts included. The change is made to a bag for the base to possibly add sand or whatever else you would need to hold it down. I ordered it with weights and would really like to receive what I thought I paid for.

Overall, the umbrella was a great purchase. The color is gorgeous and it seems like it will at least last the season. It's an off-set canopy, though, so unless you want it flying into the neighbors' yard at the slightest breeze, you're going to need to either screw it into whatever surface you're putting it on, or buy a weighted base. They're about $60, so well worth the investment to make the umbrella more practical.

The separate base is a must. We filled ours with just under 100lbs of sand and that seems to be enough.The first day I assembled it we had super strong winds, and I wasn’t sure if it was going to hold up. However a few days later and the winds have calmed down and it’s fine. I definitely would not chance leaving it open during a strong storm though.I was a little disappointed that it was not a tilting umbrella however. In the evenings the sun hits at an angle and the umbrella does nothing to block it, but hey for just over $100 it’ll do.

I elected the orange color which is VERY bright and cute. The size is AMAZING! It covers all of our patio furniture and provides TONS of shade. I like that is sways with the wind, rather than moving against it causing worry for snapping. You MUST have an additional weighted base. There's no way around this unless you're driving it into the ground. The metal base does have holes for stakes to go through or large screws I suppose if you were to screw it in. We bought a base you fill with sand (85lbs) and with STRONG winds it still moves. I'm going to buy some pavers to put on the bottom to add extra security. SUPER easy to put together. SUPER easy to open/close. Even if it doesn't last more than a couple years it's totally worth the money. I'm loving it!

Easy to assemble and simple enough mechanism for extending or folding away. It requires additional base supports as the bag provided, which can be filled with sand is probably too small to provide reliable stability. I use the bag to put my cables in for the hot tub when they are not in use.

I ordered this because supposed to arrive on the day that I wanted. Unfortunately they sent me an email and said that will inform me when they will dispatch my order but never send me second email.My order arrived weeks after that supposed to arrive but im happy with the quality and is big enough.

The product arrived with parts missing. That doesn't have to be a major issue,surely they can send those parts I think to myself? But sadly computer says no we have to carry the item a mile away to be collected and placed on a polluting ship back to the factory abroad. What a sad situation for the environment, I hope they reconsider...Buyer beware!
