Well written with great information - a runner's must read.
Mr. Frey does an amazing job of taking rather complex biomechanical principles and rehabilitation/performance concepts and conveying them in an easy-to-learn manner. He uses great analogies that are easy to understand. I am a fellow physical therapist, and I will be utilizing many concepts from his work moving forward. Well written with great information!

Valuable information for any athlete.
I come from a family of runners and we gave this book to many of them as a gift. They have all expressed the fact that the information presented was extremely helpful. Not only is this a good read for runners but for athletes in general. One of our friends shared it with the students in the fitness class that she teaches too.

A must for every runner!
I've been running cross country since 5th grade, and this book has helped me tremendously with my form not only while running, but while doing crossfit and every day activities. It contains excellent, easy to understand instructions and I'm going to buy a copy for all my fit friends!

Excellent, comprehensive, and up to date
Fitness books like this one (scholarly, evidence based, devoid of gimmicks and fads) are probably not ever going to be top sellers on Amazon. But if you want the best advice on how to strengthen your core as a runner, along with an excellent review of relevant anatomy, pertinent assessments, and general tips for injury prevention, this is your book. You won't find any crunches or sit up here, as the author has clearly learned how damaging these can be for the spine and how there are better ways to increase strength and stability. I bought it in Kindle at first but was enthused enough to pick up the hard copy, so I could thumb through it as needed.
