Summit Adjustable Gun Rest, Choose Size

Takes some time to get adjusted right but works great

This product is a great add-on to the tree climber that Summit puts out , putting this product with the tree climber makes the hunter twice as capable of getting what they are hunting for.

The material was nice and light weight, but it moves up and down even when I tighten it very tight. And yes the bolts and washers were installed correctly to the T! It starts to squeak when you tighten it very tight. Had to return it.

Great product if the brackets were made of a stronger material. After two years of normal use the brackets snapped. Would have been deadly if I was climbing up or down a tree as the rest adds some back support when climbing. To make matters worst, Summit offers no resolution or option to buy new brackets. Sent a 10% coupon to buy a complete new rest. I’ll find someone to bend some steel and make new more dependable brackets.

Pretty good, some noise when adjusting/loosening the brackets. Could use more padding... I added foam insulation tape with camo tape over it. With the bracket didn’t extend above rail, so the rifle could be rested in V between climber rail and rifle rest better... might have to figure something out for it

Works well as a gun support. Make sure you have it tightened up. Squeaky when tightening, will spook your game and ruin your hunt. The protection foam is really not long enough to protect your gun. I replaced it with some Home Depot, black insulated pipe foam.. its awesome now.

I added this to my Summit Viper Ultra SD. It was simple to install.Some of the reviewers complain about the cheap/weak brackets. I did find when you rest your gun or bow on the rest it gives a little, but nothing to significant. I wouldn’t hang a heavy pack or put your full weight on it.When ascending and descending the tree I lower it and climb like normal. So far so good.
