Exceptional watch!
I guess I would call this a Goldilocks watch, everything about it is "just right". All fossil watches come packaged in a round or, like this watch, square "tin" container filled with a firm dense foam with the watch nestled in a cutout In the foam made to fit the watch. This container was placed in a larger shipping box surrounded by air-pillow padding, so you can rest assured the watch will arrive without damage. When you pop the top off the container there is a small booklet containing instructions for registering the watch w/Fossil and it tells you where to go on Fossil's website for instructions on setting the watch functions, date, time, chronograph use, etc. The website instructions are very good. When you extract the watch from it's "cozy bed" it has the original pricing tag attached to the buckle and a clear thin membrane covering the watch crystal. The weight of the watch is "just right". It's substantial enough to feel the watch is an excellent quality build yet it's not too heavy. I have worn it everyday since receiving it and, of the many watches I own, it is now the most comfortable watch I own. The 'patterned' silicone strap definitely adds to the watches overall appearance and the silicone used is extremely flexible and actually has a 'softness' to it. I'm always concerned about silicone straps causing my wrist to perspire, and most will, but that has absolutely not been an issue so far with this one. The size of the watch is "just right". The trend today seems to be toward large watches and, with the case on this measuring 45mm, it is large but even on my thin 7" wrist it doesn't appear overwelming. I have a number of watches 44mm to 50mm and they 'feel' large, this one doesn't. I think the relatively slim, 12mm thick, case is what really makes this watch not 'feel' large and also a big reason it's so comfortable. Setting this watch is similar to many, that is you pull the stem out 1 position and rotate it till the day prior to the current date appears then pull the stem out to the second position and rotate the hands until the date 'clicks' over to the current date (so you know when the hands hit 12 o'clock your starting at midnight) and continue rotating the hands to the correct time, making sure to go past 12 o'clock again before setting a pm time so the date will always change properly at midnight. Again, compared to other watches I own, this watch is the easiest to manually set. The stem's knob is easy to grasp, the distance you pull and the affirming detent when you 'hit' position 1 is reassuring as it is with movement to position 2. Many watches require pulling the stem out and turning it to see if your in the right position and, if not, pulling or pushing it a little further and rotating until you see the action you want. The chronograph function is easy to initiate and use and the shiny blue hands on the subdial's are easy to read. The large start/stop and reset buttons are slightly concave, which I think adds to the watches' style, and provides positive tactile feedback when pressed. When the reset button is pressed the hand of the 'seconds' dial rotates counter clockwise one rotation for every minute that was measured until it's returned to it's starting position. I think this is unusual and, depending on the length of time you measured, can take a while. I guess the styling of this watch is what caught my attention initially, as is usually the case. The machine look with the knurled bezel, the large concave buttons, the layout of the face along with the blue subdial hands and the overall black coloring all caught my attention, and catches the attention of most people who see it. I guarantee you will get compliments from many strangers who feel compelled to comment on it. All of my fossil watches have proven durable, knock on wood, and I've yet to have a single quality issue with any of the three I own. Unfortunately I haven't had as good of luck with the one Relic brand I own which is made by fossil and is a less expensive line. But I recommend fossil highly, and especially this watch.

3 Year Review
This watch is my workhorse watch. I own plenty diesel watches and expensive citizens watches. This watch is by far my most dependable! If i am doing any sort of physical activity That has a potential to hurt an expensive watch I wear this. I wear this to work, to do house work, and it is the only watch I trust to bring in the ocean. I used to have that mentality because I looked at this as a throw away watch because it is fairly cheap, if something happened, oh well. But this has worked hard and earned it's spot in my top 10 watches simply because of its versatility. If i want to look good cutting grass, if I want to wear a watch gardening, if I want to wear a watch in the shower, if i want to look good playing catch with a football, if I am doing anything other than normal and it could potentially hurt a watch I WEAR THIS. It looks phenomenal. It takes a beating. It has been in 3 different oceans and I'm submerged in water over 5 dozen times. Still works perfect. Not scratches on the glass. One battery change, waterproof seal was easy to put back in place, and the time piece still works as should. I highly recommend this watch for an every day wear. You will look great, and know your watch can handle your everyday perils, especially for a manual laborer.

Value watch with a good looks for large wrists, a few setbacks which can be lived with
This is my first Fossil watch so I can't compare against their other offerings, but I'll provide my advice based on other watches I've had. Overall, the watch is ok, but I got it at a good price so perceived value is very high. There are some drawbacks but they aren't deal breakers. Cons: 1) Silicone band looks nice but moisture gets trapped between the band and your skin. After a day's use your skin under the wrist can get slightly wet depending on your activity. Office workers won't have too much of a problem, but people on the move will probably want a more breathable band in my opinion. This isn't specifically a problem with Fossil because even my friend's G-shock has the same problem, so it's because of the rubber/silicone bands on any watch. Just something to realize. 2) Silicone band is very soft and bendable. This can be nice as it provides maximum comfort, but I almost wish it was more rugged and sturdy. It just feels delicate. So I've been baby'ing it lately. No idea how long the band will last. 3) Clasp is flimsy when on the rist. I think this is because the band is flimsy? But either way I wouldn't use this watch for any type of athletic or physical labor situations in fear of it getting caught on something and potentially damaging the connection. 4) Straps to tuck in excess band overlap on the underside will sometimes slide off. It's likely because the silicone material is so smooth and slippery that I find myself having to adjust the retaining straps a few times per day. Pros: 1) Good size for larger wrists. I measured my wrist circumference and it's about 8.25" at the moment and you can see by the picture the larger 45mm dial seems proportional. So larger wrists will like this watch I think. 2) Good value. I wouldn't pay full price for this. But I was able to grab this on a nice sale and I'm ok with that price ($70). Anything more and I'm not sure to be honest, I might do more research on other larger dial watches first before recommending this. 3) Looks pretty good overall. I realize this is subjective but the design is pretty cool and simple but classic. I've never owned a black watch before and I like the option to wear it on occasion. I have not received any comments about it in two weeks so it's not a head turner in my experience.

The Best Watch I've Ever Owned
First, I'm a female and have always been somewhat of a tomboy. I've always been more into men's accessories when it comes to my style, as well as men's clothes. The face of men's watches is always bigger than women's, and I prefer that. Anyways, this watch is simply beautiful. I was a little concerned that it might be a little too big looking on my wrist because my wrist is thin, but it is the perfect fit. I bought the 45mm black, silicone band Fossil watch with the blue interior. One thing that annoys me about getting watches with a linked chain is I know it's not going to initially fit when I get it, so then I'm burdened with the task of going somewhere to get the right number of links taken out of the watch, so it fits me. So, I went with the silicone band to avoid that, and I am glad I did so. The face of the watch has a natural shine to it because the quality is so good. It just has such a clean look to it, and it's a look that will make people turn their heads when they see it to get a better look. This is exactly what I wanted! The watch is great in every way, and I don't know how any human being could be disappointed when they open up the cute little tin box for the first time and see it. If you like the look of the watch, then do not hesitate to buy it. You will love it. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

The Fossil Men’s Machine Quartz Stainless Steel Chronograph Watch is a stylish and well-built timepiece that stands out immediately. The stainless steel case feels solid and durable, while the bold dial design gives it a modern, masculine look. The chronograph functions work smoothly and add both functionality and character to the watch. It’s comfortable to wear all day and pairs well with both casual and dressier outfits. The quartz movement keeps accurate time, and the overall quality meets Fossil’s strong reputation.
