Will this fit a Honda EU2000i companion generator ?

John Matthews in SC is just flat out wrong. This will NOT fit a Honda EU2000i Companion generator, which has a 3-prong, 30A outlet. Camco does make an adapter which will fit the EU2000i Companion. It is Camco part # 55333. Grant V probably figured this out already, and maybe the hard way.

Is this just for generators?

No, it goes from 30 amp twist lock to 30 amp rv, I used on generator twist lock to 30 amp rv cord..

Can i use this to connect a 30amp rv cord to a 2nd 30amp rv cord, and use them as one long cord?

It depends on your shorepower outlet type, cord end prongs style and the shorepower inlet type because this simply is an adapter to change a 30amp tristlock outlet to a RV style 30amp outlet meaning that it is a twistlock male on one side and a three prong (non twistlock) female on the other side. Two RV 30amp cords should be able to plug together without an adapter if they are both either twistlock or both standard RV style plugs on the cord ends! That said, describe the plug end types on each of your cords and that would help to determine if, and if so, what type of an adapter you may need.

Will this work with my duromax 4000 watt portable generator? (model xp4000s)

Looking at a picture of the xp4000s, yes it should work. Just remember the adapter is rated for 15 amps and the outlet you’re plugging it into has a 30 amp breaker, so just keep the current draw below the adapter’s rating.

Just Right

We're in Hawaii and ordered a travel trailer from a dealer on the mainland. When it arrived they had forgotten to send us a starter kit which was supposed to have the adapter to use with our generator. We searched everywhere on the island for an adapter and couldn't find one anywhere. Then the box finally arrived from the dealer, and it didn't have the right adapter in it. So we went online and found this one at amazon.com. It was the correct one, at a great price, and arrived within a few days, with free shipping. You can't beat that to Hawaii! It works great and we were happy to find it so easily, and have it arrive so quickly. Thanks amazon.com!

Camco 30 amp 3 prong adapter for generators that can take a 30 amp output.

I wanted to replace the old long adapter on our 4,000 watt generator that we use went we are out dry camping in our RV. The new Camco unit works better and is easier for me to use since in locks in place better to the generator than the adapter this replaced. If needed I would have no problem buying again.We can leave the generator in the truck bed, run the stock plug from the RV to the generator then use the adapter and plug in to 30 amp power if needed and can run the A/C unit with our generator.

Works, simple, straightforward

I have a trailer with an 30 AMP RV cable and a Honda EU2000i companion generator with a 30 AMP outlet. This adapter works fine to connect the two. The adapter is a little loose - I was expecting a really tightly locking "twist lock" but I've never used any twist lock before so I don't know if this is normal or not.Incidentally I use the EU2000i companion generator on its own. I don't need the full 3200w/4000w peak of the parallel set up (even if I have both generators) so I use only the companion. It works fine. If I knew that I'd have bought a companion as my second generator, not three EU2000i generators first and then a EU2000i companion generator.I've used this 10 hours a day for a three days so far (outdoor event thing) and it's been fine, no weirdness. Due to the RV cable angle I need to elevate the generator a bit to prevent the power cable from pulling the adapter out. I'm going to attach a picture.
