Great sleep mask
After buying my partner the Sound Oasis Illumy and trying it for myself I decided I'd had enough of the poor fitting and light leaking masks, so I plumped for this cheaper version (bought elsewhere, not on Amazon), as I couldn't justify the extra expense of the Illumy for myself. They absolutely block out the light, unlike any other mask I've ever used. They do look cheap, but actually they're minimal so as not to impact your sleep comfort, and we can't sleep without them now.The mask is quite a bit smaller than the Illumy because it doesn't have all the tech inside it, and the lack of bulk is preferable for me, as I sleep on my side. That's not to say the Illumy is a no go if you're a side sleeper, but the GTS200 is definitely smaller and less bulky.I don't really use the go to sleep function as I just like the dark, but I went for the SE version as I'd prefer the option of red or blue lights. The few times I have used them I've found myself falling asleep easily, but I do prefer the Illumy as with the GTS-2000 for some reason they say to keep your eyes open and fixate on one of the bars, whereas the Illumy you just close your eyes (but the illumy is £85 - £100 depending where you buy it).The only downside is that while the Illumy straps are very soft, the GTS-2000SE straps seem to ge a little harder material (or sharper edge). Like a few other reviews I've seen if the straps are resting on my ears it can feel like it's cutting them a little. However, I just push the strap up away from my ears and it's never been a problem. The mask is powered by a watch type battery which is easy to replace , however I don't think it's washable due to the electrics, but the illumy you can take apart and either wash (I think) or buy a replacement mask to put the electrics in.All in all even if all you want it for is to block out the light rather than the sleep functions, I wouldn't go with anyone other than Sound Oasis.Oh, and they do have a tenancy of pickinh up hairs. It's not a massive issue, but you do have to de-hair them every so often.
