Bought this a few years ago to test batteries on generators for work and it saved my but a few times before storms. Told me when the batteries were bad and needed replacing. I really like the option to print the results directly from the device to keep a record for inspections.

very simple to use, yet it provides a very detailed report of the status of your battery. Great product and Amazon is great to deal with.

I bought this because I need to test both 6v and 12v batteries. It DOES NOT TEST 6V BATTERIES. The description says it tests 6v, the box says it tests 6v, however the owners manual says it can only operate down to 8 volts. When hooked to a 6v battery the screen just barely lights up and nothing else. I contacted the seller about it and asked if it was defective or if it is not actually designed to work on 6v. They responded by ignoring my question, saying sorry and asked that if I return it not to mark it as defective please. I imagine that is so they aren't required to pay return shipping. I contacted Launch USA like the manual says, but Launch USA says that they don't deal with this product and I need to contact Launch China.... uggg. I'm assuming at this point that Launch just lies that it works on 6 volt in the hopes that not many people will ever test that function. It does work for 12 volt testing very nicely though, even the alternator and starting tests. It seems to be very accurate as well. I guess I will need to buy a different meter to do my 6 volt testing.....**UPDATE**. This item listed here is no longer the tool purchased. Amazon shouldn't allow sellers to switch the item out and use reviews from the old product. The item I reviewed was a LAUNCH BST 460

This is an exceptional tool At a great price. The print feature could be easier to access, but other than that, great purchase

For the first battery diagnostic tool I have owned, and after a lot of comparison shopping, for the price and my current needs, this tool has been very dependable. I have always depended on a conventional load-type tester with excellent results, although on one occasion, this tool declared a battery (common 12v car battery) faulty, where with my load-type tester I may have misdiagnosed it. It definitely has improved my overall testing capabilities.

Mine has been telling me that perfectly good brand new batteries have 5% health and should be replaced.

Use this tester at work. It works great. So I got one for home. Only small issue for the alligator clamps. Could be made stronger
