Amazing! But with a small catch!
To sum it up, this case has far surpassed my expectations. I did not expect this to be that good of a case, and merely ordered it just so I could have a case before the Apple Magic Keyboard is released in May.Pros: The magnets are awesome! Holds it super well but not too strong! The flap on the right is perfect and has a great hold and can also be folded back and be kept out of the way! That folding back part surprised me, I thought it would just flop around once not attached, and it fits snug when you have the Apple Pencil attached. When you fold the front cover it can hold up the iPad perfect and I have not had it fall apart from the weight! Very impressive.Cons: Only 2 small minor grips I can think of. The material that is made of the outside leaves a decent amount of finger prints and dirt so I have to wipe it down often. But not the end of the world so ehh. Not sure how durable that material is either, seems like it might not wear well over time. But I guess time will tell. Second, which isn’t a problem but one I figured I would point out, is that the case does not offer much drop protection. But that is obvious from looking at the pictures of it and not something I expected it to have.AMAZING case for the money overall!

Excellent bang for your buck!
Picked up a Magic Keyboard, but as we know it doesn’t lay flat for use walking around or for drawing. Thought about picking up the $99 Apple option but figured I’d give this a shot. I’m so glad I did! The blue color looks fantastic and the magnets seem strong. I was a little iffy about out the flap, but was happy to see that it lays flat against the back cover. If I had any suggestions for the manufacturer its that the poly trim around the edges where the seam is glued could be a little smaller, but for 75% less than Apple I’m more than thrilled. The other thing that I REALLY appreciate about this case is that there are no markings. I didn’t spend $1300 on an iPad just to have it covered with a case that says “YIPYEE” or even “OTTERBOX” for that matter.

Clean and lightweight with a cool feature if needed.
I bought this case because it had the magnetic mounting, I was very surprised at the quality. It is very sleek looking and seems to be very durable time will tell and I will update later about how it’s held up.. there is one cool feature no one has mentioned. It’s magnetic case is strong enough to hold my iPad up on my kitchen fridge.. super coolEdit 9/10/20: I had an issue with the first one I received and was issued a replacement, the replacement has exceeded my expectations. Love it!!!

Beware :: What you order may not be what you receive
ESR sells two, very similar iPad Pro cases. One is advertised with all magnetic attachment. That is the one I ordered. ESR also sell an almost-identical iPad Pro case. The difference is the second case has a snap-in, plastic frame, border-style attachment. That is the case I received. From other reviews, I'm not the only person to whom this 'mistake' has happened. Other reviewers noted the frame-style case did not hold the rather heavy iPad Pro securely. My short time with the frame-style case confirms their experience. I'm sure the frame case is an expensive accident waiting to happen.Hard to say how the product substitution occurred, because Amazon fulfilled the order. Still -- not the case I wanted.Quick review of the case I received: Cheap, flimsy, vinyl over (likely) cardboard, Apple pencil flap flapped and would not stay down ... I could go on. There is some good that came out of the mix-up, namely, the chance to see the cheap case.To their credit, Amazon accepted the return and made this right with no questions asked. I ordered the real case from the iPad Pro manufacturer. It costs more and is more pleasant to use. And, since the real case holds the iPad Pro securely and is made of higher quality materials, I have no doubt it will be less expensive in the long run.

Exactly what I needed for the perfect price
This folio case definitely met my needs: while aiming for the new Magic Keryboard Folio, I’ve been looking for a magnetically-attached folio case for the times in which I want to dislodge my iPad and use it flat as a tablet. The camera bump of the 2020 iPad Pro makes this type of usage somewhat risky whiteout a case, snap-on plastic ones might be sturdier but would probably wear out due to frequent in-and-outs, and the Apple folio comes at a huge premium. Therefore, I was extremely happy to find this ESR smart case, and sprung for it.First, build quality is impressive. The magnets are super strong, and hold onto the iPad firmly. It fits absolutely snug (My OCD wouldn’t permit otherwise) and the iPad sits flat, level with the table in tablet mode. The addition in this specific design is in the form of a flap, that covers the pencil, holding it in place. This is the only drawback I might have from this case - while this is by all means a good idea, the magnets on the pencil itself are sometimes weaker, so with external pressure the pencil tends to slip under the front or back case. Having said that, I use a designated pencil case, so it really isn’t a consideration for me.To sum up - A great folio smart case, exceeding my needs, at a fraction of the Apple folio case price. A great buy.

Good, but be careful
The product looks nice. Features like "wake" and pencil charging work well. But we nearly had a terrible accident because of it. Someone unfamiliar with the case quickly grabbed the iPad, and it separated from the case and fell onto the floor from 3-ft table. BOOM! Surely I thought the iPad was broken...The magnet isn't as strong as it needs to be in order to be called a "case". It's more like a magnetic folder. I recalled reading this previously in a critical review, but never thought it would happen to me.I was lucky--my iPad still lives today. Word of advice: make sure others know of this flaw before letting them "borrow" your iPad.

Really colour case. Magnetic cases are the future!
I wanted a case for my new ipad pro that could be easily removed so I can attach the keyboard when its available.Sometimes you will just need a standard case. This is slim and the magnet works perfectly. It DOES NOT provide any protection other than scratches. I imagine if I dropped the ipad it would crack and shatter!

Top Quality iPad Pro Case At An Excellent Price
Excellent quality case at less than 20% of the price of the official Apple Smart Folio Case.Material feels nice and smooth, magnets are strong and attaches to the iPad securely as well as a flap to securely hold the Apple Pencil in place when carrying the iPad around.I am one to usually purchase official Apple products and was going to purchase the Smart Folio Case. I came across this case which is almost identical and decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did as it saved me so much money. Will definitely be buying ESR products for other products I purchase in the future.Highly recommend this case to others!

Very good LIGHTWEIGHT cover
I’ve given this 5 stars as it’s exactly what I wanted, it’s lightweight cover that provides a stand and the Ipad can be removed very quickly (to go in a k780 keyboard in my case) but:4 for sturdiness, it’s not a big chunky case, it’s a lightweight cover. I will be using it with a skin to protect the edges and a glass screen protector. That said, the stand that the cover forms is a lot sturdier than other tri fold cases I have used, including one for this iPad.4 for durability. It does not feel like it is particularly made to last so I may alter this score either way in the future.

Good cover, maybe not for iPads that would see frequent travel
Arrived in good time. Which is always to be expected with Amazon.I was looking for a case that wasn’t too fancy and this fit the bill.Took it out the box, popped it open and the iPad snapped right into place.Definitely a case that I would say is meant for protecting your device if you don’t move it around a lot.As the edges are not covered you’d need to expect knocks and if it took a fall I’d not be surprised if the iPad was flung out. However for my purposes. I’d definitely purchase again.

Apple quality, at a fraction of the price!
Great magnetic iPad Pro protection. Lines up perfectly, and the front of the case folds up so the iPad can be stood up, or turning it upside, can be used for drawing! With the addition of a magnetic flap to keep the pricey Apple Pencil in place, this is a great product. The only downsides I can think of, the colour isn't true black, more black with a slightly greyish hue and the fact it is more a protective cover, than a drop proof case. Still, it is a very smart looking cover. All in all, a must need for any iPad Pro user!
