Baxton Studio Ainge Contemporary Button-Tufted Fabric Upholstered Storage Bed with 2 Drawers, King, Grey

When we received it, we had some issues thanks to shipping. There were two holes in the back of the headboard, and a hole in one of the drawers. I'm getting a replacement for the drawer and I got a partial refund for the headboard, so neither of these things are detracting from my review.SO ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL BED!! It REALLY is beautiful. The gray coloring is even better in person -- it is not what looks like a gray blue in the picture - it is more of a gray and black textured fabric. The tufting is perfect, no flaws whatsoever!The drawers slide out easy, the padding on the headboard is nice and firm, and the actual bed is VERY sturdy. There are lots of slats with two center support beams as well as the extra support given by the drawer section, so I am not worried at all about "wrecking" this bed. The ONLY problem is that the drawer floors are made of a very light particle board, so you won't be able to put anything seriously heavy in there without danger of breakage (but why would you, anyway? I'll be using mine for extra sheets/blankets!)In regards to the smell review: I have an EXTREMELY sensitive nose (so sensitive that we refer to it as my "eternally pregnant nose") and I did not detect any negative smell coming from this bed. Even when I stuck my nose up on it, I still didn't smell anything, so I wouldn't worry about that at all when purchasing this product.Construction was very easy. It only took my husband and I about 90 minutes. They give you all necessary parts and tools, but no extras, so don't lose anything unless you have screws at home. My least favorite part about bed construction is inserting the slats, and because this has two center beams I was worried, but thankfully the slots that you put the beams in come in and out of the holes in the support beams pretty easily.I would DEFINITELY purchase this product again. I hope that it lasts for years, because it's so pretty that I can't bear the thought of having anything different!

Overall not bad. A few things worth mentioning:Don't pay extra for the option of having it brought into your house. The 3rd party delivery company says Amazon sells it but they dont offer it and have told Amazon several times.The bed doesnt meet the qualifications for warranty on most mattresses. We bought wood board and put it on the slabs so that we dont void our warranty.There was a broken screw head that fell out of the box when I opened it. I never did find where the screw may have broken off from. Then there was a random screw in one of the drawers so I searched every screw hole in the drawer area and found that it was missing one that holds up the track that the drawers slide into. I replaced it and it felt much more secure.The drawers are uneven. When both drawers are closed all the way, one side of one of the drawers sticks out significantly more. Not the end of the world, just not aesthetically pleasing.The plastic pieces that the slabs slide into were very warped so we had to pry them open to get the wooden slabs in.Took us 2 hours to assemble with directions that are literally 7 pictures. Took a little guess work, but we figured it out.

This Baxton Studio king size bed had exceeded my expectations!I had never before ordered furniture off the internet and was a bit fearful of what the quality would be like in person. I found this bed, read the reviews and decided, when I could afford it, this was THE ONE!!! As I went to save it, I saw that Amazon Prime allows you to pay it out over 5 months- Beyond ecstatic, I ordered it right then!!I can honestly say I have never loved a piece of furniture like I love this bed!!!!! The quality is unbelievable! It looks and feels like a bed that easily exceeds $1,000. It’s modern, elegant, and just plain breathtaking!!!I had to pay somebody to move it upstairs for me- I then decided to tackle it myself... The assembly was super easy but unboxing it and just moving it about kicked my girly butt!!! Talk about HEAVY! Wow!It’s everything I have dreamed of and more!Thank you Baxton Studio for selling a beautiful quality bed that I could afford!

I love this bed. It is sturdy and super cute in my new home. I have only one issue. The drawers under the bed had a flaw with one of the drawers that I have yet to fix. The glide on one drawer was only screwed in with one screw and you can see holes where attempts were made to try to drill the other screws in place. The screws that should have been there were missing, and when I tried to screw in one of the ones that I have on hand, it wouldn't screw in all the way flush. It is required to be flush in order for the drawer to close completely. At this point, I left the screw out and I'm not using that drawer until I feel like spending some more time on it.

The bed frame looks nice when assembled. The instructions for assembly are slightly ambiguous with typos which lead to some confusion. It wasn't very clear what to do with the horizontal support beams that screw onto the center support bar. The flat horizontal wooden support boards were warped and I found a couple of tears on the inner fabric of the frame, which could just be an isolated problem. The wood screws were of low quality which led to some of them breaking, regardless of adhering to the instructions and not over tightening them. The drawers glide smoothly on a steel, wheel assisted rail which gives the impression of quality. The pictures online make it seem as though the frame is upholstered with an almost velvet like fabric but it's more of a rough, woolen cloth material. After assembly, the bed frame seems sturdy and, despite the minor imperfections, those that didn't assemble the unit will be impressed with the appearance of a high quality bed frame.
