Escape From Poverty / Okane Ga Nai Japanese Tv Drama Dvd with English Sub

This is a fantastic series, and is an old favorite of mine that I used to watch on recorded VHS in high school Japanese class to help teach us the language and give us something fun to do when the teacher wasn't able to teach us explicitly. It was a series I slowly fell in love with, with the characters, with the humor, with the drama, and with the storyline at the heart of it all. If you love happy ending stories of characters trying to rise above it all and become something great, only to inevitably find what was really most important all along, this is the series for you. The protagonist touches the hearts of all he meets, and in the end his heart is touched too. It is good to be kind. I already have my own DVD set, and I'm sending a friend of mine her own DVD set.
