Nissin MF18 for Sony Macro Ring Flash - TTL Flash with Soft Diffuse Light and Precise Control for Professional Macro Photography, 1/1 to 1/1024 Power, User Friendly Controls

While I would have loved to find a cheaper solution I have to say that this flash is everything I hoped it would be. The older versions came with a fancier storage box, where mine came if a newer type cardboard case with foam in it. It also showed up with some damage on one end but I found no damage to the contents. I've taken several hundred pictures with it and it performs very well. The menu system is well designed and making changes is very straight forward. The ability to turn on the modeling light comes in very handy if you're inclined to use AF in darker instances.

Hot shoe is the weakest link. It has metal guide but terminals are still mounted on plastic and they broke in 8 months of use. And I rarely remove it. Total times I may have taken it off might have been 10 times until I one day noticed the edge hanging by a thread. I wish they had the hot shoe easily user replaceable if it was gonna be this kind of crappy quality and let us buy it on the website without having to go through the seller. Now I have to be without a flash for as long as it takes to get it back.

Absolutely no instruction. The flash fired multiple discharges each time I triggered the shutter . I am returning it.

Weil ich mir mal einen sehr guten Blitz für die Makrofotografie zulegen wollte,bin ich auf diesen Nissin MF-18 Makro Ringblitz gekommen,ich fotografiere mit der Sony Alpha IV,der Blitz hat ab und zu immer funktioniert,meistens,wenn ich die Kamera schwenkte,kam immer die Meldung, ist mit diesen Gerät nicht kompatibel,immer Blitz und Kamera ausgeschaltet,da ging es wieder für ein paar Aufnahmen,dann kam immer öfters diese Meldung,ich habe dann jetzt diese Firma angeschrieben und bekam Mail,dass dieser Blitz mit der Sony Alpha IV nicht kompatibel ist,weil ich geschrieben hatte,ob ein Update dieses Problem lösenn täte,aber da kam keinen Nachricht! Ich wollte nur aufmerksam machen,dass dieser Blitz mit mehreren Sony Kameras nicht kompatibel ist,also besser nachfragen,weil der Blitz ja nicht so günstig ist!Ich hatte noch einen billigen Gotax Blitz ( ca 70 Euro ) daheim,den hab ich auf die Sony Alpha IV rauf getan und der funktionierte tadellos, also kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass man den Nissin MF-18 mit einen Update für die Sony IV kompatibel machen könnte,leider will wahrscheinlich der Hersteller das nicht :((

Contrairement à certains autres produits, ce flash macro est très facile à utiliser. Fonctionne parfaitement et avec une grande simplicité. Hautement recommandé.

...abbinato al mio obbiettivo Sony 90 macro su alpha 7 RIV siamo al top...ha molteplici funzioni con una regolazione sulla potenza a livello chirurgico...ha un passo di programmazione esclusivo per le macro...la qualitá costa si...ma si vedono i risultati.
