KnoxLabs Knox Next VR Viewer

Worked with my dated Galaxy S3 out of the box. I have read other reviews of viewers with scratched lenses, the KnoxLabs Next came with pristine lenses that work excellently. Google cardboard app scanned and loaded the preferences instantly. Very immersive for a piece of cardboard and I'm very happy with my purchase. Included wood spacers are nice. I used a small amount of 3M grey exterior wall mounting tape on the cardboard tabs because I was unhappy with my first placement, although I think if you get it right the first time their adhesive should be fine. It might be worth looking at a cheap elastic head strap (0.99 - 2.99 from China, have yet to find one from prime) to better the experience.Note: if you're using an older phone, like the S3, the head tracking isn't as polished. I use mine for 3D movies, it's a totally different experience. You can even convert existing files to a non-stereoscopic file that gives you a crazy level of screen immersion.

Way cooler than I had anticipated

My Knox Next has been through a lot. It's survived longer than the phone I got it for and the subsequent replacement. It goes in backpacks, it's been sat on, dropped, fumbled, rigged with a mini-fan and 9v battery, and at this point it's probably more tape than cardboard with the custom headband and reinforcements I've crafted for it over the years, but the thing still works. I'm notoriously rough on gadgets, and I have to say this VR headset has performed admirably for being made of tree pulp.-Edward Cardinal
