Made maintenance easy
It was time for the Schedule B on our home generator, and this set made it super easy! The included directions are very easy to read and understand, even if you aren’t mechanically inclined. The spark plug gap for ours is .020, which happens to be how the plug came, but definitely check the gap before you install it. Our 8kw model needed 1.7 quarts of oil, which I got from the auto parts store.All in all. The entire process of draining the oil, changing the air filter and spark plug, changing the oil filter, and refilling the oil was less than an 30 minutes, and the oil in the engine was under 50 degrees, so it took quite some time to drain.

this isnt a match for all 8kw units. wrong air filter because the description is inaccurate
some 8kw units have round air filters and so i bought a kit when i should have just bought the oil filter and plug separately and saved money

Came with wrong air filter
I appreciate the convenience of getting all the maintenance parts in one package, but the filter I got (OE9371A) is too big for our Generac 8000 series. We need the 073111S, which I will have to order separately. The listing did say the kit would fit our unit.
