Rain BirdHE-VAN-10 High Efficiency Variable Arc Nozzle - 8 to 10 ft He1001

The item was what I wanted but I overlooked the fact when you order one you are only going to get one. My other purchase locally was to buy I package and there would be 10 He-Van-10 in the package. This one is on me but I think the seller should make it clearer for the buyer. So I suggest one should look closely for the number you want. $8.46 for one is way overpriced in my estimation.

PROS: These "HE" nozzles have a lower flow rate, and they DO break up the spray more evenly so that the ground closer to the sprinkler gets better coverage than with a conventional head.CONS: Having said that, I bought 8, 10 & 12 foot radius versions and each one (at 40 PSI) falls far short of the radius that RainBird stamped into the head by 25 to 30%. I ended up tossing out 2 of the 5 I purchased!The shortfall increases as you go up in size, but figure 3 to 4 feet less than the stated radius when you order - and of course, if you buy a larger size you CAN always choke it down with the center-screw. RainBird simply needs to re-rate the entire line, and come up with 'real' 12 & 15 footers...

Part was ordered and received in a timely manner and was exactly the right part needed for our sprinkler system! The color coding helped immensely!

Perfect fit...exactly as described

I total agree with Marko's comments. It covered the area close to the nozzle but that's it. I did not receive the 10ft radius it was rated for. l got a 4ft radius. I have the correct water pressure, no dirt in the system, or nozzles . The nozzles where maxed out for optimum radius but l still didn't get the rated 10ft radius .l requested a refund. l had to pay postage and shipping on a defective product in order to get my money back.I would recommend going up one or two sizes for your watering area and cut back the radius with the screw on top of the nozzles.Rain Bird definitely need to reassess there radius ratings on these nozzles .I would not recommend this He-Van 10 ' radius nozzle, the others He-Van nozzles l can not comment on because l haven't used them.UPDATE: After talking to Canada Outdoor Supply they sent a prepaid label and l was refunded. Overall l still rate product a one star.
