Collection of three Tim Burton films. The stop-motion animated musical 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' (1993), produced and visualised by Tim Burton, is set in a parallel world where different lands represent different holiday periods. Skeleton Jack (voice of Chris Sarandon) from Halloween Town becomes converted to Christmas and sets out to spread joy in the world. However, when Jack's mission leads him to kidnap Santa (voice of Edward Ivory) it becomes clear that he is not really in tune with the Yuletide spirit. In 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010), based on the characters from the Lewis Carroll classics 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass', the 19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the magical world of her childhood adventure to reunite with her friends the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), Tweedledum and Tweedledee (both played by Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman) and the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry). Alice discovers her true destiny as she joins forces with the colourful denizens of Wonderland to overthrow the wicked Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). 'Frankenweenie' (2012), Burton's black and white stop-motion homage to Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein', is a remake of his 1984 short of the same name. The story follows a young boy called Victor (voice of Charlie Tahan), who harnesses the powers of science to bring his beloved pet dog Sparky back to life - with unexpected and alarming consequences.

‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Blu-Ray Disk is Region ‘B’ & Will Not Play in USA Players.
All disks in this set play fine in USA Blu-Ray (3D capable) players except for the “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Blu-ray disk. The standard Blu-ray copy of this title is ‘Region B’ and will not play in the U.S.. The 3D copy of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” plays fine. Both “Frankenweenie” and “Alice in Wonderland” disks play fine, even thought the 3D disk of “Alice in Wonderland” is marked ‘Region B’. That disk seems to actually be ‘Region Free’. This entire set is still a good value for the six disks even if the Blu-ray edition of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is not playable. If you have a 3D capable TV and player, you’re still able to watch this title. You can usually pick up a copy of this one title in Blu-ray for less than $10 if you really want that title in standard Blu-ray. Plus there are a couple ‘Anniversary’ releases available as well. I’ve added images of all the disks in this set here with notes for each title.

Here's what the region coding is!
There seems to be some confusion over what the region coding of the discs are and I couldn't find anyone with a straight-forward answer or simply pics of the rear of the boxes, so here I am to provide that.Nightmare Before Christmas-3D Blu-ray is ABC Multi-Region.-2D Blu-ray is Region B only.Frankenwennie-Both 2D and 3D discs are ABC Multi-Region.Alice in Wonderland-Both 2D and 3D discs are Region B only.I hope non-European (Region B) customers find this information useful. You can also do some Googling to see if you can program your current Blu-Ray player to be multi region, but if you don't have a Blu-ray player that can play 3D (2 of these 3 movies will play in American 3D Blu-ray players) or one capable of playing Region B discs, then you're essentially just going to overpay on just having Frankenwennie to watch. Also note, all the bonus content is on the 2D Blu-ray discs only (as is usually the case).

ALL 3D discs work in US/region 1 player, making this set a slam dunk!
If you don't have any of these and want the 3D versions, this set is great. In fact, even if you HAVE one of these, it's still cheaper to get this than any of the single titles for 3D versions, AND we've LOVED the 3D!It says it's region B/UK but 5 out of the 6 discs worked fine in our player (Samsung UBD-K8500). Nightmare before xmas 2D had a region block on it and therefore didn't play in our region 1 player (worked fine in the Oppo). For the price of this set, and the fact we wanted 3D most of all, this was an awesome purchase. The other 2D dis.cs played fine in our US player. I'm not knocking a star for the disc that didn't work - the description warned that it was region 2(Total side note - I'm not sure what beef there is between Disney and Amazon, but the UK prices on Disney blu-rays (and 3D versions) compared to US is inexcusable. If you can find region-free discs, save yourself some cash and get them.)

the mixed regions on this box set are very confusing the three movies them self are wonderful
this is a region B box and worthless to any Americans who don't have a multi-region player. don't be suckered by reviews that say it will play. they are region B discs. Amazon needs to learn to clearly State what region on every single 3D disc.I need to update my review.the 3D disc of The Nightmare Before Christmas is a region a b c not a region B like it says on the back of the box.the 3D version of Alice in Wonderland is a region B but the special features disc is All Region.the special features disc on the nightmare before christmas is a region B.I now need to give it 4 stars. I would give it five except the mixed regions is very confusing.

Good for 3D purposes, but missing one big 2D Movie
This set is great for 3D purposes, as the Nightmare before Christmas 3D Blu Ray alone costs as much as this set. Unfortunately, the 2D version of Nightmare is the only movie that won't work on your US based Playstation/3D Blu Ray player. The other movies, Alice in Wonderland and Frankenweenie, include 2D and 3D versions that will work on a standard Playstation/3D blu Ray player. The set was shipped in a timely manner.

Really 2 3D movies and 1 2D
I read the other reviews, but my results came out differently. The Frankenweenie and Nightmare Before Christmas 3D discs are clearly marked "A B C." Their 2D counterparts are clearly marked "B," rendering them unplayable in the US. Alice in Wonderland is just the opposite, with the 3D disc marked "B" and the 2D disc marked "A B C." For US without a region free player, this is the purchase of 2 3D movies and 1 2D film. Decide for yourself.Just now I tried the Alice in Wonderland 3D disc and it worked! Don't know why they bother to mark them by regions if they are region-free.

Two of the three films: are mere cartoons
The 3D was the attraction. We had no idea that two of them were mere cartoons, and worse, one of the cartoons wasn't even in colour.Very poor.

Wonderful
Three fantastic films from Director Tim Burton, Two original tales. And one book adaptation, what I like about his films. Tim Burton takes a story then embellishes it with his own way of story telling, the visual aspects of this are brilliant. Rich in every sense, the stop motion animation is a joy to watch. Such precision and attention to detail, I strongly recommend these films. For anyone who wants to have films, that are a little off the beaten track!!! 🍻

Brilliant value!
I'm already a big Tim Burton film so I couldn't resist this little box set. Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite films and I've watched Alice & Frankenweenie at least twice before, yet I've never watched Ed Wood. All the DVDs are in their separate regular cases too as opposed to being in cardboard slots like how some box sets are presented. It'd make an excellent gift for any Tim Burton lover - or just for yourself!

Heck of a deal
Heck of a deal. Ed Wood is star member of the team here for me, followed by Nightmare, then Frankenweenie, then Alice, which is such pap I had to knock a star off.But the other three are sublime. Ed Wood is the kind of film Burton and Depp should be making and probably would be making if they weren't busy making mostly pap nowadays.Frankenweenie was the only one I hadn't seen, and this, when compared with recent Burton output gives a man good solid hope.Nightmare is a classic. Got me a kid recently and can't wait til she's older enough to enjoy it with me around the festive period.Alice, as I said, is pap.Great value though.
