Bores into three inches thick solid oak as easily as if it was warm butter.
When I opened the parcel this product came loose inside, I doubted it would do the job I purchased it to do BUT I was wrong and I have now completed this task. It didn't look like any of the higher quality bits that I've purchased in the past. No cut out metal on the left and on the right reverse side which I've always assumed led to an easier bore but these are obviously gimmicks that other manufacturers provide and now I realise serve absolutely no useful purpose because this drill cut into three inches of solid Oak as if it was boring into warm butter.Excellent product and highly recommended.

Cheap metal, goes blunt after going through 2 joists only good thing is the price, so I guess you get what you pay for.

it's as good as any other decent spade bit and it's still ...
In this review I can only vouch for the quality. I've used it for a while now, it's as good as any other decent spade bit and it's still sharp - so it's a safe bet at a good price.
