2K Games NBA Playgrounds 2 /PS4

I used to play to NBA Street series while ago and I was looking at the NBA Playgrounds series, the 1st opus was a real disaster, a blank game, you can just play games on 2 vs. 2, nothing else as far as I remember (it didn’t left me a good impression).I read some player reviews in other websites for the 2nd opus and it was quite encouraging and I wanted to give it a new try and it’s a good surprise!After a couple of games (my first game wasn’t good), I could manage quite well and was happy with my progress. And most of it: I was having fun!It reminded me a bit of NBA Street when playing but there are some improvements that could be done just like copying a few things from 2k19: create your own player, customization, evolution, etc...Here the main thing is about collecting cards (players) so yes, you have to play a lot to open packs and it’s not necessary to pay to get them.Games are fast, not too long, seasons as well. Players can improve to silver and gold levels with better stats based on how well you played with them (with XP).You can also play online (haven’t tried it yet), you can play vs local player or AI and have a 3 pointer contest (haven’t tried it either), I went straight to the offline NBA season.So basically a fun game on which you have a little bit of challenge (by collecting and unlocking cards) and you don’t have to spend an hour to complete a game like 2k19. I got it for £15 so it was definitely worth it!

I was hoping this game would be similar to NBA Street 2 (2003) which was absolutely great fun, but it falls well short. Whilst the graphics are nice, the gameplay is repetitive and doesn’t have the charm or presentation to capture the feel of street basketball in the same way that NBA Street 2 did. The game modes are limited, the players all look similar and it badly misses some type of career/story mode to engage you. It just feels like you are playing the same game of basketball over and over again.

Decent game & fast paced action with cool special moves. We quite often like just picking this up & having a quick blast rather than the more full on gameplay of other Bball games. Good price from this retailer & quick delivery

A random purchase to be honest. I heard about this game and I must admit at buying at such a low cost. It is worth the money. A small game but fun. Crazy stunts and tricks each player can perform. Crazy cartoon graphics and a joy to play. FullEnjoyed this and so cheap.

Very similar to NBA Jam ( But not as fluid). Great game and the graphics are awesome! The only let down is that you don’t start with many players so you either have to earn them or spend more money on in game play.
