Working perfect to correct the thread

The two taps and die arrived a day late, and had no preservative oil or grease on them, so all three pieces had a light layer of rust on some surfaces. After cleaning them up, I found them to work fine on brass but I have yet to try mild steel. Dinging the product a star because of the rust.

EDIT:I could not wait for another version of this tap and went ahead and used it to chase rusted threads on the underside of motor vehicle. I used cutting oil and went slowly, and was successful in chasing out 6 welded nuts in the chassis that had been exposed to road grime for years.Though it worked, I would not purchase this specific item again. the short length and short number of cutting threads makes it prone to breakage, and unless you are in a very tight access area, this short tap would not be preferred.I wish that the photo of the item reflected its true size and I feel like I was duped by the seller.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The 1st photo is a picture of the tap and die that I received in my Amazon order. The 2nd photo shows a standard M14x1.25 tap (on the left) next to the M14x1.50 tap that came in my order (on the right). Notice how short the tap is, especially the part of the tap that cuts threads.I am disappointed because in the item listing, the photo of the item (3rd photo) depicts what looks like a standard length tap, not this cheap, short, tap. I will be returning this item.

Very well constructed and had the thread size needed but unfortunately I was unable to thread the brass tubing I had.

Not the highest quality die I've ever used, but it got the job done.

They do not have the H2 or HSS markings and they are way too light to be HSS.

The tap is good the die is not well desigh is to big
