Mrs. Stewart's Liquid Bluing

I only used this once so far & it did well.

I was unsure how to shampoo with liquid bluing but I was sick of the yellowish cast in my grey hair so I glopped a bunch on. It was a bit of an overshoot. My husband's jaw dropped when I walked in with my cobalt colored hairdo. Plus, I had to do the grocery shopping that day. Believe it or not, I got compliments! Blue hair isn't that strange, it seems, lol. Now I add the bluing to my hair conditioner which is "leave-in" and it gives needed balance to the yellowing.

One wash, and your clothes will be whiter than the cast of a Hallmark Christmas movie. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to walk around glowing like a celestial being, then congratulations, you’ve found your secret weapon. Just be careful you don’t accidentally blind your neighbors.

This product does exactly what it’s supposed to and is super easy to use. The only downfall was that the package must have been smushed by something else in the delivery truck b/c the cap was totally broken. It became a comical scene as I was trying to pull the package out of our mailbox and saw a trail of blue dye everywhere. Thank goodness I’ve got a pretty good sense of humor!

Love this bluing very good for washing cloths

My grandma turned me on to this, and it definitely makes the whites GLOW. I thought, Wow, what a small bottle! This stuff must be expensive! But you know how much it takes for a large load of laundry? ONE QUARTER of a TEASPOON! It's the best value on the planet. If you get some, you won't be sorry.

Do NOT put directly onto clothes that are in the washer. It will stain. I see all of these reviews with blue stains. They did not follow directions. You must either dilute the bluing in water before adding it to the washer or make sure your washer is moving/agitating (top loaders). ONLY use in the rinse cycle and no fabric softener. I've been using this for years and it is much better than any product or bleach. Bleach just breaks down fibers. I even use this for my lighter colored clothes and they always come out bright and new looking.
