Can my imac late 2015 27" 5k model use 2x16gb memory sticks? or do i need to get 4x8gb sticks?

I believe you can only use 4 sticks of 8GB for that model. You always have to use pairs of memory. I bought the 32 GB package to max out my iMac, but one of the slots on my computer would not accept an 8GB stick, so I had to put an original 4GB stick back in that slot and its paired mate. I still have two sticks of 8GB that work, but I can't use. I am willing to sell them.
