I ordered this light to use in my 13 month old daughter's bedroom and, so far, it has worked well for us.The light is super cute and is dimmable, wireless, and rechargeable. It came pre-charged with enough battery to last two full nights on the lowest setting, which is pretty impressive.One of the first things I noticed upon unboxing: a USB cable for charging is included but a charging block is NOT. If you have extras lying around this might not be a problem for you; in my case, though, I ended up using one from another device which is kind of a pain but not a deal breaker - eventually I will purchase an extra to use exclusively with this device so I don't have to keep moving it back and forth.The top portion of the light (chick) is a soft platic material with the light and function controls hidden within; the bottom portion (shell) is firm and rounded at the base which allows the light to wobble without tipping. At first glance, I thought my daughter might be able to keep this light in bed with her (like a glow worm?) but I quickly realized that she could turn the light off, on, up, and down simply by holding onto or touching any part of the top so we keep it on the beside table instead. She likes to carry it around the house during the day though and, despite having dropped it several times, it has held up well so far and seems quite durable.This light would've been perfect for those early months of nighttime wakings, feedings, and diaper changes and would make a great baby shower gift but also works well for older babies/children who aren't fond of the dark.Overall, we love this Chick night light and would definitely recommend it.*EDIT: Holding up really well, despite repeated abuse (rough handling) by exuberant toddler!

I love this nightlight. It was difficult for me to find a cute nightlight for the nursery and then this came up. It is just the right size. The features I love are that it’s soft to touch, easy to turn on and off and it has a dimming feature. So this light can be bright or dimmed down to use for nighttime feedings or diaper changes. The dimming feature is easy to use. I also love that it is portable and can be used without plugging it into the wall. The good thing about that is it can be used if the power goes out, in the crib, on a camping trip, night walks or wherever else your life might take you! The cuteness feature is a plus! I think this is just what I needed in a nightlight and I definitely recommend others to give it a try! So far I absolutely love it and the ease of use makes it even better. Glad I made the purchase! It can be charged by USB which is cool because you can charge with a phone charger in the car if you are out or going camping or you can plug it into the wall using a USB adapter. Prettt neat little light! We love it!

Where was this for my older kids? My 3 yo loves this light. It can be dimmed to a soft glow that she cuddles with as she walks to the potty. She likes to sleep with her chickie in the room (I don't allow it in her bed due to the army of stuffed animals. I said nothing else, so the chicken sits beside the bed). At first I was always charging it for fear it would die at night. It has now been 2 weeks without charging and stays on all night. Totally worth the cost. Seriously thinking of getting this for my older kids, who tried to wash the chicken in the sink. Yes, I towel dried it and it still works.
