Fantastic choice of colours and great quality
This set of soft pastels has an impress range of amazing colours. They feel buttery smooth and the colors pop with the quality pigment. You can blend them easily and they stick well on sanded paper. No matter if you're a beginner or more experienced. The quality is professional level and it'll help you improve your painting. The price is well justified.I made a color swatch chart to keep track of all the colors. It's super useful and makes this 120 colour set easier to manage.

Nice Set
Nice set for the money- good way to experience Sennelier product for not much money- The colors are fantastic, and go on very smoothly- Some seem a little harder, but nothing like hard pastels, so still a soft pastel stick

Great Pastels But Not Labeled
I am very new to pastels, and don't really have anything to compare them with. However, I am a watercolor artist, and Sennelier is a very well-known, higher quality product in the art world, so I thought I would give these a try. I didn't want a cheap set because, as a beginner, I didn't want to give up in frustration with a cheap set. These seemed to fit the bill, and do very well. I use them in my watercolor paintings, and they are amazing as an overlayer, and to add accents an small details. Some are softer than others, and some are quite hard, depending on the color. Why 4 stars? None of these are labeled, so if I want to buy individual sticks, I have no way of knowing which colors I need to buy if I run out, or, if I want to buy some I currently do not own. Plus, because they are not labeled, you can't use the labeled part as you paint, to help not get as much dust on your hands. All of this is not a deal killer, but it is something I will keep in mind when/if I shop for other pastels.

Great VALUE
This 120 ct Paris set, has a high quality to the product. Not all of the colors have the same softness. I have had about six crumble with the slightest of pressure, while I was swatching colors. I am a beginner and have tried the Mungyo Inspiration set that many have started with, as well. Mungyo is a solid beginner’s set, but this is a higher quality product. Learning to layer pastels is the challenge and having incredibly soft pastels as well as hard is important. Instead of this set, I would recommend the Mungyo and Rembrandt for medium hardness. I don’t regret buying this set, it really gave me a lot of neutrals that I needed. After buying these don’t buy a higher quality product until you learn how to use them better.
