Transparent Sound - Solid and Reliable Kit
Absolutely love this box !!! I use this in my home studio anytime I need a high impedance instrument to go direct into the mixer. I've used it with a bunch of electric guitars and the Seymour Duncan in-hole pickup for steel string acoustics. I have not tried it with a pure piezo pickup, like on the NS Wav4 cello. For guitarists :: the IN/OUT allows the recording trick of mixing a clean signal (direct box to the mixer) with the processed signal (mic'ed amp). From alternate tunings to dive bombs to high speed tapping at the 22nd fret, it captures it all without any signal degradation.Very transparent. Simple to use. No futzing about. No anxiety. Plug in, route XLR output to mixer = done. Solid and reliable kit.

Check out this DI box? It performs as well as many pricier brands!
While they're not amazing or mind-blowing (this IS just a passive DI box, mind you), they're surprisingly quiet and solid! These performed as good or better than pricier DI boxes, when I ran side-by-side comparisons at live venues. No ground issues or excess noise. Just good, solid signal to the snake or PA. That's what you want out of these, right? Worth grabbing up a few! I would buy these again...

Works, with a caveat that you have the right problem
Sorry if that title sounds strange. Let me explain. I have a vintage Fender Squier (one of the earliest runs of the Squier series) that some previous owner has made extensive modifications to. One of the issues I've continued to have with it is the issue all single coil pickups sometimes have: it's very sensitive to ground loop hum. Here's where it gets weird though. The noise actually gets worse when making contact with the strings or the mechanisms. I wanted to see if this got rid of that problem, or if it's something else (*but I also have a couple of other guitars that I DO have a ground loop problem, that this did indeed help with, so, bonus points for doing what it was supposed to do *and* helping me solve this mystery!)If you're curious, I've found from googling around, that apparently one of those mods I mentioned the previous owner did, involved reversing the ground polarity. It's something I'll have to get a guitar technician to deal with because I don't trust myself messing with the internals, but, at least I know for sure what needs fixing now. Plus I have a new DI for my other gear that's WAY smaller than my old DI which this is replacing (the old one is nearly as big as my audio mixer!)

Good for the price
It is a working DI box. XLR shell is isolated from the box. The 1/4 jacks are bonded to the box. I only mention this because I have seen it done just the opposite. There is a small locking tab build into the XLR connector. There is some db loss through the box but enough headroom left for any decent mixer to gain up.

Budget Friendly Without Sacrificing Quality
Absolutely blown away by the Behringer DI box! As a professional sound engineer, I've encountered a plethora of high-end, high-priced DI boxes, but let me tell you, this one is an absolute gem. There are DI boxes out there that cost ten times more and don't hold a candle to this beauty. If you're like me and need reliable gear for outdoor or indoor events, where your equipment faces the elements and a bit of rough handling, look no further. The build quality of this DI box is top-notch, featuring a robust all-metal construction and rugged, tight-fitting connectors. It's perfect for churches, popup venues, traveling bands, musicians, or even your home studio. This DI box is versatile, durable, and an all-around fantastic product. Highly recommended!
