Genmitsu3040 MDF Spoilboard, Work with 3040 Y-Axis Extension Kit, 3018 CNC Upgraded Accessories Compatible with Most 3018, 3018-PRO/ 3018-MX3, 30 x 36 x 1.5cm (11.8'' x 14.1'' x 0.6'')

This is my first attempt at ordering this product ordering this product to upgrade my small desktop cnc unit. But, I was disappointed to find that it was missing all of the mounting hardware that was listed in the installation manual included with the part. I have started the return process but the review will reflect the disappointing outcome of this order.

I put this 3040 spoilboard on, along with the extension kit, for my 3018 pro cnc router. Everything lined up perfectly on mine. I put this in place of the 3018 aluminum table and it seems as sturdy as the aluminum table was. Had a slight hiccup with the order when I discovered that the hardware bag was not included. I contacted Sainsmart by email and they took care of it pronto. They seem to be great people to deal with. Kudos to the folks who work there.

It's really easy to install and it gives peace of mind about not damaging the aluminum base.

Board looks nice but does not line up to fit mx3.

It is made to locate the aluminum deck of the bed and takes away Z axis travel due to its thickness. It works. It does all that with typical Genmitsu quality. I would have preferred a aluminum plate for that function. If anyone uses a liquid coolant or lubrication the MDF will not be happy. Think about that and what you plan to do. Structural integrity of the MDF and dimension changes. Goodbye MDF. This is how the machine mods get going. A good design with a area that can be better. Its a great company and makes good but not perfect products. It is packaged like a Genmitsu product with perfect foam and well engineered packaging.

Los agujeros no coinciden en una 3018 pro. Tuve que hacer todos los agujeros nuevamente para que me valiera. Aparte vinieron dos esquinas rotas, ya que el paquete simplemente es un sobre con una mínima capa de burbujas. Me lo quede por que lo necesitaba, pero no volvería a comprarlo.

I will have to re drill for my machine mounts. Good size and lots of hold down points.

Works as expected

Not sure what has happend but the center holes for the screw bracket do not line up, the other holes do, it seems they are two close together.
