After 1 wash the pants are all beaded up sucks ?

What is the thickness of these pants? Would it be good for winter weather?

I bought 3 pair of the xxl in 3 different colors. they all fit ok, however 2 of the 3 drawstrings are to short. i need them replaced. help???
